I don;t know if some of you had read this posted in Facebook. I had friend who posted a video in Facebook showing a sexy Latin girl. Her pictures appeared on the start of the video showing how beautiful was the girl. But in the end, it shows a tragic pictures of her murdered. Then the video says, she was murdered by someone she met at Facebook. Is it true? Well it is possible to happen not only in Facebook. But do you think this is true? Are there any similar incident that you know?

How sad. Poor girl. I have never heard of any crime such as murder because of Facebook until now. It is not really Facebook's fault because it is just a social networking site that we can use to communicate with other people. It is up to us individuals on how we deal with those people who wants to get to know us. If its a stranger that we only knew online, it may not just be in Facebook but online in particular.. it is never safe at all. We should really be careful. I hope any of my friends won't fall into such traps .
best of luck

I never blame Facebook, I even told that this can happen in any social networking sites. But still there are things that Facebook should be doing to avoid this kind of incident. And now as I'd observed, Facebook did something to avoid such thing. A year before you can simply add whoever you wanted to add as your friend. But now the social networking site filter this request much more. This features really helps.

Oh sorry. I never implied that you blamed Facebook for the incident. I'm talking about it in general. I mean, there are close-minded individuals out there who could be blaming Facebook for this incident. Anyway, yes you are right. The filter options and settings really helps us in keeping our privacy intact.

This is very possible that it could have occurred and still CAN occur if people aren't smart about the information they give out or the people they talk to on Facebook. However, the video sounds like a scare tactic by some anti-Facebook group. And you'll definitely know it's fake if the video or description says "If you don't send this to (X amount of friends) this will happen to YOU!" which I'm guessing didn't happen, but just fair warning.

Fake or not, well still possible. But that video is just an example. A year ago there is a new here in the Philippines, there is this news about a girl, who went to meeting a guy she met at Facebook. But the meeting ended-up the girl being raped. What her parents did was report the incident in the authority, and since at that time, the rapist is still texting the victim, so they set an entrapment and caught the rapist.

No! It is not the problem of that site. Bad and worst people are everywhere and they don't miss any opportunity to enact their crimes. Just we have to be careful to allow strangers into our privacy. So, her fatal end is due to her negligence or say, ignorance. This can be a warning for all who believe online relationships, blindly!

I dont know of any similar incident.
Did the video not show the killer and didnt you check it up on the internet?
I know this is possible because there are a lot of sick people out there, those who can harm someone for no just reason.Sometimes they will say they dont like the victims appearance or she wears too much make up and all that.
Thats sick in the head people and they are everywhere.

It can actually happen especially if that person from the friends list has the hobby of killing people. There are a lot of deranged people out there who looks normal on the outside. I think I've seen that video as well because it had been passed around in facebook (I've seen it a year ago but I don't know if it's the same one you saw) and it's really tragic and frightening that something like that could occur. It could be real or not but it's a warning to all of us not to meet up with someone whom we really don't know.

well i never heard/seen anything tragic like that but i guess it can happen. it's a social networking site. sadly some people misuse it. a friend of friend got a lot of derogatory remarks posted on her wall. it was from an ex who obviously wasn't over her yet.

Unfortunately there are things that happen via Facebook, Chat Rooms, and many other Social networking sites that make people curious about someone and end up wanting to meet in reality not really knowing who the other person really is, and can have something like this happen to them. It has happened I am sure overtime from a lot of sites out there. You just need to be careful in who you talk too and share your information with. Because in the end to be Safe than Sorry makes things go a long ways in life for sure.

I heard these crime before. There are a few people who be cheated, raped, and even murdered by the one they met at the network. The communication in network just like the shadow of a shade, we can not tell the disputability. You will be caught in a trip without carefulness.
