Good evening fellow mylotters. It's nice to be back here after so long. I just want to share something about what I am going through nowadays. I've been so stressed thinking about a lot of problems. And the major problem I have right now has something to do about me, being a woman. I missed my period for this month or maybe it was just delayed. But, I have counted it and it was already the 35th day and I supposed to have my monthly period already. Unfortunately, not yet. I took a pregnancy test few days ago and it turned out to be negative. But I did some researches through internet and I found out that taking pregnancy test too early might give a false negative result. I am worried because I am not yet ready to be a mother, especially that I am not yet married. And I am thinking, if my boyfriend and I will get married, where are we going to get the money for the wedding? But I don't want to stay single if in case, I am really pregnant. I might get fired from my job. I am sure that my boyfriend loves me but it isn't enough. On the other hand, I am thinking, at the back of my mind, that I wish to be pregnant yo be able to feel the essence of being a woman and that is to bear a child. I am just really confused right now.

First of all
.
Congratulations if you are pregnant. I have thought I was pregnant before, one time I believe was before my husband and I got married. I know the scariness of thinking you might be and hoping you are at the same time.
First of all I'd like to address something you said.. "my bf loves me but it isn't enough"... if you are pregnant you and your bf should sit down and have a long chat. Let him speak freely, even if what he says might hurt you. It will be better to have an open communication. Tell him how you feel about being pregnant, from your fears to your excitement. Explain to him how you feel about marrying him, and let him tell you how he feels. He may be ecstatic and want to marry you, but don't push him to an answer, let him work out in his head what he wants to say.. Give him time if that is what he needs. I would suggest meeting at a place where you and him can speak in private, maybe your house or his house. This is a conversation you should have in person.
You could wait until you take another pregnancy test, that might be best, or you can tell him now..

Great advice hun! That is what I suggested too, they need to talk, listen to one another, and keep the lines of communication open!

PurpleTeddyBear I am glad you agree with me. This advice though could go for any type of talk not just about being pregnant and getting married, anything between a bf gf, husband wife, fiance.. even family.. communication is key.
My husband and I worked in work books, I've talked about that, and it has helped a lot when it comes to communication between my husband and I.

Hi, pentagon12. If you are pregnant, congratulations! I know that you are feeling quite overwhelmed right now. I hope that you can find out the best news that will not upset you. I hope that you will be okay. Maybe you two can get married at the court house. Or you could have a private wedding together. This would lessen the expense of having an actual wedding.

Most pregnnacy test kits give positive results from the first day of the missed periods. So you don't have to worry too much about false negative test results. You need to wait and see for complete two weeks from the day of missed periods before you seek help with doctor. They will prescribe you progesterone tablets, to put periods back on track.
Also it is best to plan about having kids after marriage. This avoids lot of headaches and money problems.

Wow, that does sound like your going through a tough time and your emotions are feeling really torn between being excited but scared at the same time and I think for any woman that is normal! I know I went through a roller coaster of emotions when I found out I was pregnant both times with my 2 girls! My advice would be to sit down with your boyfriend and have a really open and honest heart to heart talk to find out what you both want out of your relationship, how you feel about the possibility of you being pregnant, etc!

hello pentagan12!
i can empathize with you, not just because i am a woman but also because i was in that situation too, like what you're experiencing right now. you know what? seemed that all my worrying added to the delay of my period which was initially caused by the medicines i took. I had a bout of flu two weeks prior to my schedule and the medicines (some are antibiotics) interfered with the natural flow of things, which caused the delay of my period. it turned out, i had nothing to worry, false alarm. the more you worry, the more that your system will be upset and more delays.
however, if you are truly pregnant, well, since you did it on your own free will, you have to face its consequences. I should know, for i too had been working in a big company when my boyfriend impregnated me at the height of my career. I loved my job so much and i was afraid that i would be fired by getting pregnant, being single and all that. and so i married him, he proposed to me of course. he loved me but it was not enough, we were not ready, bad decision. Now, we are separated and i have never been happier. I regret getting married to the wrong man but i don't regret being a solo parent to my three kids. yes, bearing a child is one of the essence of a woman. whether you're married or not, a child completes a woman.
as for you, think it out if getting married because you're pregnant would be the ultimate solution. however, i hope you won't opt for an abortion, for that would not be a solution but a doorway to another problem. if you're pregnant, then so be it, act on it and be responsible for it. Another essence of a woman is to be able to get through the rough times, amidst pressure, with dignity and self-respect intact. You can always find another job if you'll get fired by the way, but if your boyfriend is your destined love, it would be hard to find another mr. right you know.

Hi there, good day!!!
I am in the same situation as you are now and it's really quite scary considering that i'm still young that time. Since you are not 100% sure of being pregnant, why not focused first in ascertaining your condition, whether your pregnant or not. It makes a difference if you know the real score. With that you can make your initial move and that is to tell your bf the truth. But first, you must determine what is your personal plan, what i mean is YOUR PLAN,(if ever your really pregnant), with the baby. Will you push through the pregnancy or not. It's your call now. It's not ours or anybody, but yours, so you will not be depending on your bf's decision.
This is what I can share to you, a child is a gift from God. It's a blessing. Have a nice day and may God give you strength to face what you have now and if your truly pregnant, then CONGRATULATIONS! Your now a woman! You can do it!

Pregnant at the time, not bound by marriage, is a very difficult thing. But you have to face. You better discuss this with your BF. You and your bf should be held responsible for what you've done. Children are a gift. God gives you children, because you are deemed capable. So you should keep well.

This is an extremely diffucult situation, me being a man have been with my ex in this similar situation and we decided to have an abortion which seemed like a good idea at the time but after it happened my girlfriend was extremely emotionally hurt but it depends what u want is this child gunna have a good life? is it too early? will u be together forever? its very diffucult to be honest i would keep it just because it is soo joyful to have a baby and something to be proud of :)
