East vs West Coast

I'm from Philadelphia and proud of it. I love my city and wouldn't give it up for the world. I haven't traveled much but i've noticed that people have strong opinions about how those in other parts of country live...even if they've never lived there themselves. I always wondered what do those from Cali or Washington state or anywhere else out west think of us over here on the east coast?

I'm from the West Coast, and I do love the climate here... I love it also just because it is where I was raised. But I have a big curiosity for the East coast as well. I've never been there yet, so I can't battle with any of you. I've heard that once you go to NY you can never turn back. I wonder if that would be the case for me too.

You should visit when you get the chance! Lots to do here! I don't know if you're into history but if you are there's plenty of that around as i'm sure you know. The northeast in fall is great, Massachusetts and Vermont..all those New England states, lots of pretty trees.
I've only been to New York twice, despite living practically next door. I went after I graduated high school, for a week with my friends and oh my. It was very overwhelming arriving in Times Square on the bus. Every block had a different scent, so many people, tallest buildings i've ever seen. It was a lot i'm not going to lie. Got used to it quickly but at first. Wow. There's so much to do in the city, I plan on going back again and again. It was a lot of fun though I can imagine it's not for everyone, I think it's worth a shot.

Yeah, I don't know if I'd enjoy the busy city too much, but I'd definitely would like to see the autumn trees. And yes, one day for sure, I will be going to visit to check out all the history there. The thing I don't like about the west coast is all the traffic too. Have you been on this side? If so, did you like it? (Don't worry I won't be offended if it was a negative experience )

As a non-American, I have always preferred the East Coast, it seems more like my style or whatever, coming from Europe. I've only been to Boston and New York though, so I can't say that I've seen it all, but still, I would vote East Coast here! :)

I am from New Jersey and proud of it, too. I grew up in northern Jersey but now live fairly close to Philly. (We love visiting Philly but we're still NY sports fans). I've traveled all over the country--and all over the world--and have found many beautiful places, but I still feel most at home in NJ. There is a reason it is the most densely populated state--people like living here! There is truly something for everyone in NJ--two great cities, the ocean, mountains & skiing, lakes & rivers, fall foliage, tomatoes, blueberries, theaters, sports teams, gambling, horse racing--you name it, we have it. And generally nice weather too, with 4 seasons. NJ gets a bad rap because of its industrialized section, but that is actually only a small part of the State. It is a great place to live and raise kids, and I am very happy to be here--and it is a very interesting and diverse state, too. How else can you explain the phenomenal success of the Weird NJ books and magazines?? :-)

I think that the east coast is beautiful. I would like to also add that my husband is from Wisconsin, and half of his family still resides in Michigan, Chicago and Wisconsin. We have made that our excuse as to why we venture there every year, but really its because the weather beats all when it comes to Texas weather in the summer time. One of my friends went to New york and once told me if she ever had the opportunity to move she would head straight for New York! I love the East Coast!
