I dont really know what could have happened to her at night when she just stayed at home. But when I woke up and see her, it looked like it hurts when she put her pot down to the floor and she could not walk probably. I checked her pots and see nothing wrong with it... But luckely a few hours after she got a little better and walked like normal again, but I can tell that its still abit painful. Anyone know the reason? or what ya think

I had the same issue with my dog one day. she came waltzing into the room and her back leg was really stiff and she wasn't putting much weight on it. I moved it all around and she just stared at me. I think she just must have pulled a muscle while running outside or stepped on it wrong (if animals can really do that) because after a while she was walking just fine!

Yeah, my kitty got much better after a few hours as well. So I dont think its something really serious and I am not so worried now. But I guess its difficult for us to know the real reason. thanks for answering!

My cat Micio (pronounced Mee-cho) has to be taken to the vet usually once every six months because one of his toenails has a tendency to curve and grow back into his paw which then gets infected. When I take him to the vet he cuts off the offending claw in a matter of seconds and very soon Micio starts walking better. Unfortunately then he also has to take antibiotics to clear up the infection and it is a little tricky to make sure he takes them. I hope this is not the case with your kitten but it could be a possibility. Before Micio, I had no idea that cats could get ingrown toenails.

Ah... I did not know Cats could get ingrown toenails either, so I really did not check her nails when I looked at her paw. But I dont think thats the reason for her, because she is already getting much better then before. Thanks

She may have stepped on something that is stuck in her paw (did you break anything glass recently?) or gotten a splinter. If she isn't walking better in the morning you should bring her to the vet.

No, last time we broke any glass was a few months back and I was the only one that stepped on it without knowing XD She is already walking better after a few hours. Thanks for answering!

I have had a cat and a dog who both did this. I think that she probably slept awkwardly and is temporarily stiff. She should be fine in a bit. If it happens again or seems to be happening more frequently she may be developing arthritis and you should take her to the vet.

My parents think it mgiht be temporarilt stiff too and in the beginning we did not let her out because we wanted to let her rest, but she actually got abit better after playing outside

Do you have steps? Possibly she hurt it coming down these. She might have stepped on something too, check your floors good for anything laying around that's tiny. She could have just hurt it running and playing somehow, running into something. Could be a million reasons, just keep an eye on her and see how she feels tomorrow.

Yes, we have steps and I have thought about it might be the reason too. I dont think there is anything that can hurt her, but it happened once that someone in my house broke a glass of the lamp and I happen to walks on it without knowing lol. But that was a few months ago so every tiny glass should have be removed now. I see that she is getting better and better so I am not so worried now. Thanks

Oh my God, I think you have to take to the vet. I always take if anything weird is going on my dear. Non-veterinarian people might give you the craziest clues about this matter.
