Chinese Water Dragon

So my son is 5 and he decided he wanted a lizard as a pet. We looked online and originally he wanted a fire skink. He saved up his allowance and bought the cage, plants, dirt and lizard himself. He decided to get a Chinese Water Dragon instead and named her Lizzy. He was going to name it Little Dude until he found out she was girl! LOL. I have to say she is pretty cool. She's pretty chill but when she gets scared she runs on her hind legs! I am pretty happy with his choice. My daughter has a gerbil, Peanut, and she will not let us hold her or anything, but the lizard will just sit in your hand and chill. (I think the gerbil keeps her up at night) What kinds of pet lizards do you have? Anyone have a Chinese Water Dragon? What do you like about them?

When I first read ur text, I thought ur son was getting a pet on a online game or something. Since I am not familiar with their names, and sounded more like a real dragon from fantazy books. But I copied the name you wrote and searched online, now I know what it is. lol You have a pretty cool son, I dont think many kid in that age will want this kind of pets.

Yes my son is pretty cool. He loves Lizzie, I have to say I find her pretty cool too! She changes colors too, a bit like a chamelon but not so extreme, just between brown and green. We like her alot though!
