what is your travel experience with exotic food?

Many places have different exotic food during my stay in china we ate in shabu shabu restaurant our chinese friends orders exotic foods like fried magots,eggs with small duck inside and steamed with tea ,and our soup small turtle( feel sad while i see the turtle looking too me deep in hot boiling water). Its a nice experience but i don't enjoy the food.how about yours? do you have experience in food trip?

Yes, I try to eat local dishes when I travel. Sometimes the dishes are good, and sometimes not, but it is always interesting to try. I never got people who travel abroad and then only eat at McDonalds or something, that is just weird!

i enjoy eating the local dishes of certain places/countries cause its part of knowing of their cuture. Like my travel in india i tried paner OMG! its too spicy i cant handle the taste pluse the color mustard plus they eat raw chili.Its fun counting exprience like this..
