Letting go

After 1 and a half years, I feel that I have to move on to another job. I am grateful for all the experiences I have had in my workplace and I feel I have to open a new door and trod on to a new horizon. Experiences -- good and bad will be part of my learning and growth. Time gives signs when your heart is urged to follow another path. Time also teaches us the process of letting go....

I feel the same way about my job. I have been in this job for more than 10 years and somehow, the challenge is gone and I simply go the everyday routine. I know what I would like to do and though I have not actually left (I have set a date for when I am going to "let go" as you say), in my heart I have already done so. But while am still here, I give my best. Staying on would not do justice to myself and to the company I work for.

Yes I can relate to what you are saying figurativeme. We just have to give our best while we are where we are, for there is a reason why we are still made to stay for awhile. Maybe to be able to contribute a legacy or just prepare the next person whom we are going to pass the baton to.:)

Letting go is hard, but someone once said, you cannot discover new oceans if you don't have the courage to lose sight of the shore. Letting go entails a lot of courage. It can also be painful especially when you are emotionally attached to something. But letting go is part of growth. If we're not willing to let go, the only other option is stagnation.

We all have times when we had to let go. Those are the times when we have to be tough and keep ourselves together.

It's like my experience on one of my previous jobs. I was working there for almost 10 6 years. The salary was fine but not great. The problem was I was not happy anymore with my work and with the place I am working for. I see no growth, no improvement. So I said to my self enough is enough.
Time to move on to find a more greener pasture.
Yes time teaches us to grow and to learn.
