I think everyone want to travel to all the places that they want, but it is a contradiction that when people have enough time, they have little money;when one is rich enough, then he or she is occupied by endless work without any freetime to do something else. What about you? Do you own one of them or both of them?

I believe you asking if we own up to both of the excuses as to why cannot do both. I use to work so much yes I did not have time to travel. Now that I am not working I have no money to go anywhere.

I used the term excuses because sometimes we work so much we say we do not have time. We as humans must make time for certain things in our life and yest monetary depending.
Yes we all have wishes, but your initial started discussions was a bit confusing as you say own vacation and that is not clear to me on what you meant, that's all.

When I was a student at university I had to money to travel because I had a student grant and I had lots of spare time in the holidays. I was able to travel somewhere in the summer holidays. These began in mid June and ended at the beginning of September. I liked traveling to Malta in the Easter holidays and to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland in the summer holidays. I enjoyed going to Kenya in the summer holidays where I spent time on the beach and on a safari at the Masai Mara. I liked going to Israel and Jordan in the summer holidays. As part of my studies I got to live in the Netherlands for one semester. Once I began my teaching career I have carried on traveling with more money and similar holidays from term time. Term ended on the Friday and I traveled to Hong Kong on the Monday. Then I went to Western Australia and traveled to Singapore on my way back home. I have had maternity cover contracts that I have gone traveling at the end of. Like I worked from May to October with the summer holidays paid for and then I went of to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. I returned home and then stayed in another teaching contract lasting a couple of years. I prefer to travel in the school term because prices are cheaper. Travel is my top hobby and even when very poor I still manage to find a little money for traveling. Now I have two dogs I travel for a few weeks each year. Like I spent three weeks traveling in Canada this summer.

Hello maximax, from your words I must admit you are a great writer.
When I was a college student with a little money in my pockets,I had enough spare time to walk out of school and to travel to somewhere that I like. but I never went to anywhere just staying in the classroom. What a pity.
I admire you too much for your expieriences of travelling to so many places in your student and college life. That is a great weath of yours.
Beinga a teacher is really a good choice to balance your work and travelling, because you can earn enough money and get more holidays than people of other business.
At last,I wish you have a good trip in Canada.

How do you own a vacation? Yes I agree with you that most of us do want to travel but unfortunately because we have to work we can not really travel as much as we would like to. It would be nice to be independantly wealthy then we could travel all we like, but because we work and never have enough money we don't get to travel as much as we would like. I would love to travel more, I do get to go on vacation every year which is good, but usually have to beck in a week so I have never traveled outside of this country.

I always have my vacation in my holidays, but the places I visit are almost near my city, because it will take two or three days on the train and cost too much money that is equal to my month's eaning if I went to somewhere too far.

Yes, it is right, when you have time, you will have no money, and when you have money, you have no time. I always arrange my holiday in advance, so I do not have the problem to go somewhere for holiday. I will keep portion of my money for holiday and planning ahead with my leaves.

I'm on the side of having a little money. LOLs. Anyway, I live a simple life and got a good job. Yearly, I make time to schedule my vacation. I love to go to the beaches and Island hopping. That's my way to relieve stress and treat myself for the whole year of working. If you love to travel and got small money in the pocket. I suggest that planned your vacation one year or half a year ahead from the date you planned to relax. Why? Because there are some airways and travel agency cut 50% off of the cost if you booked early. That way you will have time to earn more for your vacation.

There was a time that I didn't have both. I didn't have enough time to travel and didn't have the money to do so. I used to travel with a travel agency. I didn't have the time to travel because of the busy schedule and my finances were not enough to travel far far and away. The only consolation that I had was the fact that our company offers 1 or 2 familiarization trips a year. But still, I want to travel more than that. :D
