Hello everyone! I own a 1994 Cougar XR-7. It has been out of action for a couple months now and we cannot figure out what is wrong with it! You see, the battery light keeps coming on, and everything is checking out perfectly fine. My battery is just fine, we put a brand new alternator in and my fiance re-did the wiring harness for it. At first, it seemed like the new alternator was keeping the battery at a decent charge. But I drove it up town and realized that the charge was lower then what it usually is. Every once in a while it will chug while I'm driving it, and I think the battery power must be low because it won't even let me pull my seat forward! Someone told us that it could be the computer, but we are not sure. We haven't hooked it up to a diagnostics machine, yet, but we plan to soon. Has anyone else ever ran into this problem?? If so, how did you get it fixed? Is it fixable? We are at the point where we don't know if we want to keep putting money into it, or just invest in getting another vehicle. Any suggestions?!?!?!
