I ask questions all the time! Do you ask for directions?

Me I am one of those persons that likes to know everything I can. I like learning new things. I don't ask personal questions but I do ask how to do this or that. My husband and I will be shopping and I won't be able to find something I will go and ask the clerks that work for the store. He thinks this is nuts. While driving some where if I get lost I will stop and ask how to get to where I am going. Now my husband says it is silly to stop and ask because they might not know as much as they say. So my question to you is do you ask questions? Do you ask for directions when you are lost? Do you think it is foolish to ask questions? Are you male or female?

I am one of those people who does not mind asking others for help. If i need to ask for directions, i do not hesitate. i have quite a number of family and friends who are just the opposite in thinking. they would rather travel in an endless circle onf confusion before admitting they neeed some help with their directions. Some people would rather remain lost than give in to their pride.

Hi Sender. I think it is smart to ask if need be. I don't like wasting anything especially gas. Thanks for sharing. I have friends and family that have too much pride then to stop and ask someone for directions too.

When I dont know anything I ask question. According to me asking is knowing. By asking questions we can learn new things in life. In think it is not foolish to ask anyone. Instead of going into to the wrong direction, by asking we can go into right direction.

I rarely ever ask for directions because I usually know my way around. I am a woman for the record, and I don't feel that I need to ask for directions. I can often times make it on my own.

Hi Rogue. I only ask for directions when I don't know my way around. And if it is back roads I don't ask questions unless I want to find a special place. I love traveling the dirt roads maybe I will find something new and exciting. I am a woman. But if I need help it is nice to be able to get help.

I am a male and I ask directions if needed. If I know how things are, I would rather keep it for myself and do it rather than asking directions. Asking questions is not a foolish thing, you ask direction because you don't know the answer. So you are looking for the answer. I am a curious person also, and I want to learn how things go around, so I ask questions and try it for myself. One thing that a person will be called wise if he or she is asking questions. If you don't know the answer, ask! You don't have it, because you don't ask! For me, I always find it smart for women to ask for directions.

Hi Myedsjoshua and welcome to my lot. I think it wise for anyone to ask questions if they don't know. I think it is stupid not to ask questions when they don't know. Thank you for your response.

Female here. Well even if I am riding a taxi cab I am still asking about the directions of the place that I need to go. Of course especially if you are already in hurry you must really ask so that it would be easy for you to be there on that place. I don't think it is a silly thing but that is normal.

Hi Metatronik. I think it is smarter to ask then not to know and look stupid. I hate riding in taxi's. But then I hate someone else having control over where I am going.

Hi Book and welcome to my lot. I find no shame in asking questions. You are never too old to ask for help in any situation. I am a female and have been all over the US and still don't know as much as I would love to know.

I'm male, and I would research first. As long as you have access to the internet, you can find anything. Now if the internet is down, and I have an address, I would get a foldup map to get to the general area. When I'm there, then I may ask for details, like if it is in a large shopping area with lots of stores and no map to be found.

Hi Qaeyious. I am female and I find it odd that most men I know can't or won't ask for directions. I can find anything I want on the net but when I am in the truck I don't have internet to find things. And I find it odd for people not to ask for directions if they don't have a way to find out where they want to be. It is nice to be able to look at a map and find where you want to be but we live out in the boonies and some times maps are useless. Thanks for your response.

Hi, free_man. Yes, If I am lost, I will ask for directions. I am not ashamed to. When me and my husband will travel a lot, he will ask for directions when he gets lost too. He is never ashamed at all. We have went to the gas stations, churches and many other buildings while we traveled. We have asked someone for directions then. I am a female and I have no problem with asking for directions. I would be glad for someone to give the correct directions. That way, I can know where I am going. I also don't have to waste gasoline driving up and down the road, looking for my destination.

Hi Cream. That is why I can't see not asking for directions. Look at the time and effort not to mention the gasoline driving around in circles. I am female and it never has bothered me to ask for directions. I will stop at a house if there isn't any business around to ask for directions. I like being self sufficient and being able to get from point a to point b without having to stop and ask but if I need help it is nice to stop and ask someone how to get there. And besides you might make a friend out of the people you meet. Thanks my friend! Hope you have a great day!

I am a female and I ask where i can get this and that when i am shopping for groceries (does not apply when I am shopping for clothes though - because i love clothes and I will browse them by each one(when I can)) because it will cut my time shorter, therefore the task done faster. So i do not think its foolish to ask questions, especially when looking for directions. so far no one has lied to me when giving directions. Either they say they do not know or they are glad they can direct you to the right way.

Hi Momof3kids. I like knowing how and where things are. I hate getting in a store and no one is around to help me find what I am looking for. I don't ask for help when looking at clothing either. But it is nice when you need help you have someone to ask for help. I am female too.

I have the most terrible sense of direction. Sometimes, when i go out to somewhere new, i don't even know the way home. Sometimes when i go the wrong direction, i don't even know it until i reach a new destination i haven't gone before. From what i read, it is all about spatial intelligence. One might be good at logic but not good at spatial.... I think i hate myself most for not being able to recognize and remember roads... even a sketching a simple map from my workplace to my house is impossible task for me.... How i wish someday i might have that intelligence in place....

Hi Asxenon. Don't worry about it some of us are better at other things. I make book marks for the way I am going. I mark out things by land marks. Some may be a building or just a rock in the road that will make me remember where I am. Don't hate yourself for not remembering roads. Pray and ask God to open your mind to remember roads it really works believe me .
