I hope that the fasting month is going well for all the the Islamic people in the world. One of my friends comes from Bangladesh. In the month of the year that she fasts she ends up getting weak. Sometimes she goes down with an illness like flu. She feels tired at work and it is hard for her to keep going energy wise. I know that it would be an idea to have an early breakfast type of meal at around 04.00 so no more eating takes place in the daylight hours. Then I suggest having a dinner like meal at 18.15. Remember the fasting lasts for one month and maybe plan something to look forward to for when the fasting month ends. I suggest in the daylight hours you get some sunlight and much fresh air. Good luck.

One of the ways to stay fresh during Ramadan month is keep on line and learn much about improving our life here.
Hey, tomorrow we'll celebrate Eid ul-Fitr, right?
Happy lebaran to all of us, Muslims all over the world. Minal aidin wal faizin!

Hi trie-arimby, I am against fasting. Because I dont believe our systems can withstand that much of disruption. It has nothing to do with feeling anything against any religion. Please forgive me on that count. I also believe if we harass our system unnecessarily, we will get angry faster, we will feel sleepy, irritated, and whatever. What is the point in fasting if we cant control all that? In ancient days, there was no restriction on whether or not a person could sleep, so fasting in those days was easier. If people felt sleepy, they slept.
The custom possibly started because there was shortage of food. So prophet decided that some sort of control be imposed so that there would be enough food for the rest of the year. That is why one month there was a system followed that would ensure that nobody in the group ever had to starve. In these days and times when trade is possible, and we dont really face the famines of that era, such sacrifice is not necessary. I also fast one day in this month, as a token. But I feel that is enough. We hindus too have several customs which dont make any sense anymore. It is difficult for us to tell others to leave those customs. :(

I know that when I do not eat my body feels really sluggish, tied and sleepy. Perhaps when you know you have to fast eat 3 well balanced meals that will tie you over until the fasting ends.
