That one family member....

I love and adore my family. I am very lucky to have them in my life. However, it seems like there is always that ONE family member that makes you wonder or scratch your head. My aunt and uncle came over to my parents' house for Sunday dinner- a thing we try to do at least once a month. Anyway, the conversation went to different family members that we don't know what to do with. On my mom's side, there are a couple but the one we discussed today was her younger brother- the story teller. He likes to rave about his "celebrity" friends and all the amazing adventures they've gone on together. His entire thing is about being impressive- mainly to his "celebrity" friends. In fact, on his wedding he reserved five front rows- VIP rows for these friends. He made his family- including his mother who has done so much for him- sit behind the VIP rows. And guess what, two couples showed up to sit in the VIP rows and they were hardly celebrities. It's like fame and status is more important to him than family and the people who have always been there for him. Plus, he is one of the biggest liars. He will lie to you straight to your face without blinking an eye. Do you have a family member that just makes you shake your head?
