It's already September, which means Christmas is just around the corner. How many of you have already started your Christmas shopping? I haven't started mine yet. I normally wait until the last minute to get my shopping done. I think this year I am going to try to have it all done before November is over with.

I too always used to wait until the last minute (or until December began) but I learned my lesson last year big time! Now that we have 2 kids we HAVE to get our gifts earlier in the year. We aren't done by any means, but we are at least 1/2 way done our Christmas shopping for the girls at least!

I completely understand what you are saying! I have three girls and it gets harder every year to buy for them. I have to start early this year to at least make it a little easier.

I honestly think that the earlier you start the easier it gets! I still can't believe we are almost 1/2 way done their shopping already! Is a great feeling that's for sure!

I have started and have a few things made. There are a couple of gifts that I don't have the foggiest notion of what to do, so I'm thinking on them. I have the rest of it either bought, made or at least have an idea of what to buy. I hate to wait until the last minute because I like to have time to relax and enjoy the season.

I can agree with you on that. It's hard to enjoy the season when you are trying to run around like crazy trying to get things. I'm still not real sure of what I will be getting this year. Guess it's time to have the kiddies make out their wish lists!

I have not even began to think about it. It will be here quicker than what we realize.

You might be a Filipino, there is nothing such a place in the world who celebrate the long season of Christmas, almost 130 days of celebrating, and the season is my favorite because love is in the air, and everyone is being inspired and motivate to do good things in their life,.. you have a good discussion here... keep moving

Wow! 130 days of celebrating? That is great! I wish it were like that here. Oh well, I will enjoy the season while it does last!

Nope, I haven't either. I always say that I will start earlier next year, but I always seem to forget to actually do so. Oh well, it is still not too late I guess!

No, it's not too late to start early this year. I do the same thing as you do. I wait til the last minute then when I am done, I will say that next year I am going to start earlier. It never seems to really work out that way.

We are not going to do a lot of shopping this Christmas, because gift giving in my family has gotten way too competitive. We will probably end up paying the bulk of our Christmas budget for a hired driver, since no one felt like picking us up last year, and Dad lives 80 miles away.
I have, however, designed my Christmas cards, and will order them soon.

Sometimes that ends up happening. So, far it hasn't with my family, but we are a small family.
