Where is the best place to go to Cebu in one day and how much is the cost?

Hi Folks, I'm planning to go to Cebu this 28th of September with my family to celebrate my birthday. It is only a 1 whole day vacation going home on the 29th. I just want to ask all cebuanos here if where is the best place to spend my time in Cebu with my family. I've been to Cebu around twice already but this time, I'm bringing my family to taste the visayan life. Can you tell me which hotel is the cheapest and can be found on the center of the city? What is the best food to eat? (I'm looking for cebu specialties) and where can we find it? The best place to spend at (sightseeing, tours, etc) I've been to the common places in Cebu, like the Sto. Nino church and the Magellan's Cross, I need to go to a place where you can experience "wow" in Cebu. Also, if you can direct me to a place, (just in cebu city) where you can find the best guitars, I'm planning to buy one. Thank you very much in advance and hopefully I can have this trip a very memorable one, one wonderful experience.
