I usually collect the receipts since my Mom ask me to do so because that is the reduction of tax on her work. Usually I am collecting the receipts from food as long as it came from the restaurant or any fast food chain, it can be canteen as well as long as official receipts, from coffee shop, prepaid card, and something to do with computer staff. Sometimes I am picking the receipts from the table that other people didn't bother to keep it. We can collect as many as we can then we were able to help my Mom.
What about you are you collecting receipts? Why or why not?

We should always ask for official receipt to make sure that the seller pays the proper amount of taxes due them.

I agree and now I am wondering that how come the CDR-King are not releasing official receipt but sales invoice. That is the reason why my Mom told me not to buy on that store. Even the materials that I am going to buy will be expensive as long as there must be an official receipt.

Unfortunately they are not even giving the cash invoice but only the sales invoice which my Mom does not need it.

If the document they issue is a "cash invoice", it's as good as an official receipt. But if it is a "sales invoice", then it means that the goods were sold on credit. If they are selling goods, that's OK for VAT purposes. But if they are selling services, then they could be evading their VAT liability.

Nope, for now I am not (it just seems like too much of a hassle somehow), but I should start. It is a great way to keep track of your expenses!
