Depression a disease or not?

Many people debate and argue about whether depression really equates to a disease or not. What if both sides are right?
I'm still wondering if depression equates to a disease or just a disorder...Well, let me see your thoughts about this.... Happy mylotting!

well when depression does not interfere with your days work and you go on with your life just a little depressed i would say it does not equate to a disease but when a depression caused you to stay inbed whole month and cry and be drunk then that is absolutely a disease of the mind....=) that is my say hope it helped on you wondering=)
