Filipinas might be known for their refined and timid ways, but some of them can definitely bring out their bad sides when the need arises. Local soap operas and movies are more fun to watch with wicked female villains who'll slap, splash some red wine, or throw some acid on someone's face. SPOT.ph lists 10 of the most memorable Pinay contrabidas whom we all just love to hate--from the divas who've been at it for decades to the younger baddies who are just getting their contrabida groove on. Now who's your bet?

My all time favorite contrabidas are: Gladdys Reyes-when she act as a contrabida, I can't stop myself to hate her. Especially her role in "habang may buhay". Jean Garcia- She portrays many role as a contrabida and she is very good in it. Cherrie Gil- She is the one of the classic female villain that we have. One of the premiere actresses. Katrina Halili- Despite of being new in female villains, I find her irritable when she act as a contrabida. She is good in this kind of role.

Princess Punzalan - I remember how Mula sa Puso went over for years because of her great acting and how she can evoke angst to her audience. LOL. Gladys Reyes - will always be a fan of hers. She can carry flexible roles from comedy to drama. And she has a good personality, too. Dimples Romana - God. I never watched Agua Bendita because of her because she makes me so mad. Ahahaha. She was so good and hats off to her. Cherrie Gil - one of the best kontrabidas with an elegant personality. Cherry Pie Picache - she's the only one who's not forgettable in Claudine last teleserye with ABS when she played the role of Isadora. :D

I think the proof of an effective contravida is when she can make the viewers hate her for making things hard for the lead actor or actress. Cherrie Gil is memorable for her "You are nothing but a second-rate, trying hard copy cat" line. And Katrina Halili is my choice among the younger villains.

jane garcia is on my list because no matter how she portrays being the protagonist you always have that feeling that the could turn antagonist at anytime.

Recently, I like Angel Aquino as Vera the villain step mother of gretchen Barreto Victoria in "Magkaribal". From the SPOT.ph lists, well I bet for Gladys Reyes from the young generation. Cheri Gil's the next one.

I like Gladys Reyes, she is pretty and nice in person. Another villain that I remember but I like her role is Dina Bonnevie in May Bukas Pa as Malena. It is because her being villain is very logical that she is going to fight for her own benefit.
