unrequested friend

I am new to mylot. I was surprised to get a prompt "... and me are now friends" but I haven't requested for a friend yet. Has anyone experienced this? What could have happened? Is there anyway I can delete the unknown friend? How do I solve this?

The same thing happened to me. Don't know the exact reason behind it. Maybe it is Mylot's way of welcoming us by adding at least a 1 friend to your profile so we won't feel to lonely. I guess.

Thanks. I'm just skeptik about it coz that could mean someone can overwrite or mess up with my profile or it can have a form of a virus or something. I'm not sure. I tried to delete it but can't. Now, I have 2 friends in my friend count by I only see 1 account. There really is something wrong. I tried to report but I don't know how.

As you register to myLot you automatically get a friend who is the person who referred you. If you just typed mylot.com and didnt used a direct referring link you get a random referrer as friend. Thats why you could get unkown person as you first friend. As I registered I got a new friend too howover I do not know her. But this is only because he "referred" me.
