How can I watch TV in my internet for free ?

I know there are some websites/software's where I can watch online live streaming Television. But I haven't found a nice one. Most of them are repeated tv shows and all. But I don't want to throw my money to this. So tell me, which a fair software where I can watch live streaming online TV shows.

Other than some TV shows that are specifically made for the Internet (for example fan created shows based on Star Trek), I don't think you will see much 'first run' TV on the Internet. That's becasue the show's producers make too much money from selling the shows to broadcast or cable TV.
