Well, i have seen most of my friends comment on other people who talk with opposite gender as Flirting and they use a word in my Regional Language which is very common among the youngsters..
Whenever they see a boy talking to a girl , they just say that they are Flirting..
So, i'm in a confusion between the Flirting and the Normal Talk..
Whats the actual meaning of Flirting and the Normal Talk..
Even if a girl talks to a boy normally , other guys surrounding just call the conversation as Flirting..

What 'come on'? Flirting really is what I am saying it is. I gather that in your country/region/area/neighbourhood a ordinary conversation between a boy and a girl is erroneously called flirting.
Really if I am talking with a girl I am not always flirting, same goes for other people. It's not always flirting, rather a chitchat or small talk.

Normal talk is an innocent conversation. Flirting includes from subtle jokes to a more vulgar but appropriate one. That's what i think.

It's possibly an easy thing to identify for the two people involved in the conversation whether they talk or flirt..
I'm mentioning about the third person who is watching the conversation!!
How could a third person should conclude it's flirt or a normal talk!!?

I think this is more to your custom. Is it normal for a boy and a girl to talk just both of them? Or not?
I believe normal talk is like we speak to each other. Even a couple can talk normally. What matter is in what context we speak.
Flirting, in my opinion, is one of the acts to seek attention from the opposit genre (man to woman, or vise versa). It involves giving sweet words, over-reacting actions, etc.

Flirting is diferent from norml talk. When a person flirt, its pumper the other one whom for those words said. Example, "you looks pretty today, do u know wats best thing about you?" People do flirting to impress other people which is not necessarily mean only for opposite gender. It can be for same gender too! Its for impress peole through words of mouth. Too much flirting might be an irretating thing. Everything has a limit to do. While normal talk may be discussion, enquiry, sharings thoughts and so on where as flirting only consider pumpering or sometime unrealistic comments like " when I see you, I like to fly"

LOL, flirting and normal talk are completely two different things. Flirting involves some "sexy talks" while normal talk is just a mutual conversation.

Thanks for your response..
In my place here, if a group of boys catch a conversation between a boy and a girl, they just call it as flirting, without having the in depth knowledge of the nature of conversation !!

Flirting is more like playing with the words and contains flirty words. Chatting is more towards normal chats and there is no intention to play around. Flirting is more towards playing with the other party and having the intention to flirt with the other party. That's what I thought of the difference between them.

To me I don't think that my friend ever talks to boy in a normal way she is always flirting with them because she giggles and she twists her hair with her hand it's really easy to tell and then I tell her why were you flirting with that boy and she says really I wasn't flirting with him and I told her what she was doing and she said that she didn't notice, but I knew that she was flirting it was really obvious.
I think that she denies that she was flirting because she does not want anyone to find out especially her boyfriend because then she would get in trouble and she does not want to get in trouble with her boyfriend because she loves him a lot. Still in my eyes I still think that flirting will be a sign of cheating for me that's how I will always see it. Other people don't consider it cheating, but in my view I do see it as cheating. Anyway I wouldn't go off and tell her boyfriend about that since she is my best friend and her boyfriend is just a friend to me and not a best friend so I would never tell on her.
Anyway ever since she has been with this boy she has changed a lot and in a good way because she is like totally new boyfriend I am just glad that he treats her with respect and that they both get along.

I think normal talk is just a normal conversation. Flirting on the other hand may be a conversation that looks normal but it includes certain malice. Friendly conversation with a touch of malice, I think that's it.

Flirting is talking to someone using gestures and their body language saying "I like you" and the Normal Talk is talking to someone without using these "I like you" gestures.

Flirting would be giggling alot. Holding the person's arm, or touching them alot. Talking about things with that person that doesn't interest them. Laughing at things that person says, that they wouldn't normally laugh at. Talking in a way to impress someone.

Guna - there are many factors involved here. You all are just coming into the adult group. There is change in the social pattern, and consequently, some confusion. A normal conversation for 15 minutes between fourth standard students of different gender would not be any different from similar conversation between 18 or 20 years old. The only difference is there are hormonal related feelings that may be coming into play now. There is this need to tease may be? If so, it is flirting. If not, it is normal talk. :) Why teasing should be treated differently at this stage would be your next question I presume. After all, we all tease our friends and close relatives. But we dont really think that much about them as we start thinking about this person or persons. Likewise, we may even be feeling shy or hesitant to talk, something we never felt when we were young. So when such emotions come into play, the talk ceases to be normal. Then again, some boys may be growing up faster than others, and therefore, they presume others feel the same way as they do, which is not always right. Last but not the least is our cultural upbringing, which inhibits us. But we are at a stage when we are willing to defy it. We would like to do what we are asked not to do. :) That is when it becomes not normal. :) Hope I have explained it satisfactorily. :)

I see normal talking as just conversing with someone. you are just passing your time in conversation with another person who shares your interests and views. Flirting is something different. You are doing your best to gain the attentions of another. You don't even have to speak to flirt!
