I read this book back in elementary school. It was kind of required reading, but I wound up enjoying it anyway. It was fun, adventurous, and mysterious. I also think that the movie was a really fantastic adaptation... one of the best that I've ever seen. I haven't read anything else by the author since, but I might someday.

Yes, I've read this book in Elementary School, here in Denmark (therefore the Danish version). I really loved this book, it's so interesting to read, you just get caught in the action all the time! I haven't watched the movie yet, but I'd really like to, and I'll soon maybe also read the English version of the book.

This is a great book. I read it in class in sixth grade, but I found myself really enjoying the story. I used to always look forward to this part of class. The movie did the book justice, some movies can't capture the essence of the book but I would recommend both, read the book first then watch the movie.
