The worst meal i have ever had was made by my husband...He was trying to be helpful while I was at work...He put a poke roast in the crock-pot and covered it in saurkraut...which i normally like..he turned it on high and left it that way for about 12 hours...When he picked me up from work we went home to eat dinner...the house smelled horrible...the dinner tasted terrible...I finally pushed my plate away and told him I was sorry but I just couldn't eat it...His was response was Thank God,because this is horrible...We ended up ordering pizza.

Good thing that your husband thought his cooking
was bad too: Did he ever cook again? I would imagine not;)
Pizza sounds great.. it's always a good last minute choice...

He cooks occasionally, but not very often...he makes a really great seafood and pasta dish that we all love.

The worst meal I ever ate was at a friend's house many years ago (I'd better not name her for discretion's sake lol, even though I lost touch with her long, long ago). This friend was a vegetarian, and decided to make a veggie chili con carne. Instead of making it with mixed vegetables which would have been fine, she used soya mince which is OK for some things, but for me doesn't work in chili. Anyway, this friend instead of using normal chili con carne flavourings such as chillies, oregano, bay leaves, garlic, onions etc., she just dumped the soya mince in a pan, added water and a couple of spoonfuls of cheap supermarket's own brand curry powder. The result was awful....it was wet, sloppy, bright green in colour and tasted terrible. Strangely enough the dessert she made was absolutely delicious...home-made apple crumble with deliciously creamy custard that had evaporated milk added to it to make it richer.
