To be safe, you can use the medication up to one month from the date of expiration. That's what i know.

It really depends on the medication you are talking about because there are some kinds of medication that easily wears out just days after expiration. And really be very careful of taking medications way beyond their expiry date because some cause other reaction than the desired effect. Better ask your doctor who prescribed that medication to you, if you can still use it though.

as the post above its all about the effectivity of the medicine. if its just for a little headache or so then its ok if you have suddenly taken that medicine but if its for chronic conditions then dont its not advisable.

I guess it would really depend on the type of medicine, but you should ask a doctor or pharmacist about it because they know better. However, as for mer, once something expires, irregardless of the number of days, I would not consume it anymore. I would rather be safe than sorry.

The early respondents to this topic are all right. Think safety. Don't risk your health thinking of some amount of money you can save by taking in medicines that are already expired. If not, you may end up spending more money than you think!

Depends on what kind of medicine you're talking about. If you mean pills, most pills are actually effective up to a year after the expiration date. If you're talking about something like an antibiotic that was reconstituted for use, then no. It loses effectiveness shortly after being mixed, usually within a few weeks, and any extra should be thrown away.
