I should have known better. When I get tired I should go to bed, but no, I just had to make one more post. Mere hours later I got my first myLot notification that it was deleted, and not because the discussion was deleted. I got to be a bit of a smart aleck and got the notification - if you are not going to add to the discussion, don't post.
I don't think they had these notifications the first two or three years I was here, so who knows what I did then. But here is my first since they started. I was clearly in the wrong, and was duly reprimanded and humbled.
Totally hypocritical of me as well, since that was one of the complaints I had about some discussions. No excuse, of course. I am reminded once again I am not perfect despite my delusion being so.
Feel free to confess your myLot transgressions if you so desire. I am curious what kinds of infractions we are making.

hi qaqyious sorry to hear that, I was hoping you would say you had a comment deleted as it was to a response that was not adding anything so it got deleted thats what happened to me, I really thought at first it was my comment because I was a bit caustic to the jerk who made the mean response. No these notificationscame about after go ask Alice came here as we did not have them back when we first started. I have not actually had anything I have posted deleted but have come close no take that back I did have a comment deleted as they said I flamed the person but I defied anyone not to want to rebuke the jerk as he was going o n and on about women not being bright like men. I could not take it but should have handled it differenly of course. I was in the wrong and took my abuse like an elderly woman should. lol. I did tell the man some harsh things shame on me. I wou ld not do it again I would just send him a p m that he was being a jerk instead. he he.

Heavens, no need to be sorry. I was irresponsible and I accept the consequences.
Be careful with Private Messages, I think they can be reported as well if they are - what would be a good phrase for it - aggressively opinionated on a personal level. I suggest you just consider the source. He's probably just a grumpy judgmental old man like me with narrow views. Having narrow views is a disability. Treat him like a blind man, offer him a seat on the crowded bus. Express your differing opinion, of course, so that maybe one day he will see, and be free of his affliction.

Hatley, I wish I had seen the discussion. We could have cut him to ribbons and killed him with kindness and our superiority. I like our friend Qaeyious blind man analogy. Let us all get on the bus and get on with it.

It is not uncommon for me to get fooled and respond to a friend's discussion that gets deleted. I recently got a discussion deleted for commercial promotion. I did not feel it was, as I was not looking for referrals. I was letting my referrals and others who might have been using the program know what the next step was. Unfortunately, I was straightforward and not sneaky. Most of the time I can be sneaky and get my point across. I know how it is wanting to get just one more post in before retiring.

I would have to see that discussion to even guess why it was deleted.

I got a question deleted because it was too game or poll like. The question was..would you rather be a cat or a dog. I thought it would be a good discussion, but apparently the moderators didn't agree. I even sent an email to ask how I should rephrase the question. I go no answer.. I guess they just didn't feel that it was a very deep topic.

Perhaps if you just wrote why you would rather be cat (or a dog) and the disadvantages of being a dog (or a cat.) Even better would be to list both the advantages and disadvantages of each, and don't ask any question. Just let myLotters respond as they will, be it disagreements or praise for your insights, what have you.
I will give the disclaimer that I am not in the myLot administration, so please take this at face value

I just had a discussion deleted where I was posted my blog site. The blog was telling others legitimate ways to work online. I don't understand why. And I don't understand why I have to get an RSS Feed to post my blogs on here. I've tried posting them, but all I get was that they RSS Feed url was already posted.
But then again, I am thinking of changing one of my sites, that needs work into my own Dream Interpretation site. I'll have to wait until I sign up online for that class first.
