I find myself waking up before the time alarm sets off. But I still wont get up and just lay on the bed like sleeping. Then after a few minutes the alarm goes off! That's the time that I get up. Do you do the same when you are earlier than time of alarm?

I always wake up before the alarm clock goes off, or mostly I do unless I am really tired. What I do depends on what I have to do. What I mean is, if the alarm clock is just going off to remind me to wake up hubby and have him ready for work then I will get up, if it's for me then I lay in bed for longer!

We did have the alarm clock on his side of the bed but I always had to reach over him to turn it off so we put it on my side of the bed!

That's what I've been doing all the time. If I wake up before the alarm sets off, I usually lie in the bed until the alarm goes off. The time I set is the exact time of my getting up. So even if I woke up earlier, I don't need to get up that early. Besides, a few more minutes' sleeping often makes me feel more refreshed and energetic during the day.

I can't believe that you can still sleep with only a few minutes left before the alarm strikes. All I can do is close my eyes and wait for the alarm.

In fact, when I turn alarm on, I'll get up before it. But If I don't turn on it, I'll get up on time. I mean that I only use alarm when I need to get up early tomorrow. I think that It's only psychological.

That's pretty weird huh! Maybe your body is telling you to get up before the alarm goes off.

It's great that you wake up before the alarm goes off. I wish I have the same ability as you do. I usually won't wake up until my alarm clock rings. Even when it rings, I keep pressing the snooze button and have troubles waking up!

I also usually wake up before the alarm rings. My sister once visited my place and shared the bed with me. When i woke up early she asked me why i wake up so easy without hearing the alarm clock buzz...maybe its the body clock in us. And i feel allergic to the noise of the alarm clock (lol - its what woke me up during college days and i dreaded the sound of it, it would mean going to school again and face those professors and answer impromptu questions) but still i set it regularly just in case i drown deep to sleep.

I think in your case it's more of the fear of the sound rather than the body clock.

Yes I do believe when you are excited about an activity the next day we tend to wake up early or even sleep late.

I generally seem to get up about 15-30 minutes before my alarm is set to go off. I set my alarm to the latest I can sleep in when getting up for work in the morning. I enjoy getting up before my alarm clock goes off for two reasons. One, I don't wake up everyone else in the house, because there are times I get up as early as 3:30 in the morning for work. Two, I can take more time getting ready in the morning and don't have to feel as rushed. At the same time...I love sleep and wish I could take in all the extra zzz's I can get.

no, because i don't use the alarm to get started. Practice moving your butt the moment to you hear the alarm. Jump and start preparing, whether you are an employee, a student, a salesperson, a doctor,a mother... whoever, whatever you are. After some period time, you won't be needing the alarm anymore, coz you'll have your body clock. your system will wake you up... and you'll be surprised that you wake up at exactly the same time everyday.. only small difference in seconds. Try it.

I wake up before the alarm sound, but i always sleep again, so when the alarm sounds, i snooze it for about ten minutes more.

it is proved in science that is , there is an alarm in the human brain. at night before you go to sleep, you set the alarm. Automatically in your brain the alarm timings will be set. Thats why you are waking up before the alarm alarms. the same thing happened to me also. i will get up 5 - 10 mins before the alarm alarms. and i think of the routine work that i need to do, and get up from the bed. after finishing all my work i'll take rest for half-an-hour. and i feel healthy.

it's funny when you wake up before the alarm. that happens to me all the time because our body clock has already adjusted to the time that we must wake up. when that happens to me i stretch already and open my eyes even im still lying in the bed i make sure that im already waking up my senses and so when the alarm rings that's the time i'll get out of bed and start moving.

Is it weird that you first wake up before you alarm? That's the natural body clock to our body. It's like we program our body to wake up in this time! The alarm clock that we use to use is just a fail safe so that if our body alarm clock worn out then alarm clock will enter the picture! I had this a couple of times and everyday I woke up the same time. Is it kinda amazing?!

I do the same most of the time. I only wake up before the alarm if i can't go back to sleep, but that rarely happens. I usually go back to sleep if I will be able to wake up before the alarm. I really want to sleep because I want to take most of my sleeping time to sleep because I am very busy during the day. Sleeping is a great feeling especially when you don't have enough sleep the night/s before.

We're not the same. I'm a type of person who's always sleepy :S If the alarm clock rang, I usually turn it off then sets it to another time again. The cycle follows until I am in the mood it to get up already. :) So that result is, RUSHING. =)))

If I set alarm time my mind didn't sleep until the alarm ring. When the alarm starts to ring suddenly I off it without my presence of mind then go to deep sleep.

I normally wake up before the alarm on weekends. I then stand up immediately. I cant just lay in bed longer than me sleeping.
