Believe it or not i watched this movie 6x in the movie house! Yes in the movie house. Imagine how much money i spent on it! Though i heard that in some places the number of people who went to see the movie exceeds that actual population. I even have to pay my friends' admission ticket just to accompany me. I never get tired of watching this even though its almost 13 years since it was shown. It even came to the point that i memorize every single line. Was so addicted to the movie that my boyfriend (at that time) gave me a DVD of the said movie as a Christmas gift. And boy, i was a fan of Celine Dion even before this movie. But hearing her sing the theme song gives me goosebumps. For me, Titanic will always be my favorite.

Funny this topic should come up as I watched a little bit of this movie on tv Saturday night. However, I didn't stay up for the whole thing as it's a lengthy film to begin with, add commericals, and it's about 4 hours or more! I remember being 10 when this film came out in December 97' and just feeling a connection with this film that I never had before. I ended up seeing it 4 times in the movie theater and that is a record for me for any film. Now, here we are over a decade later, and I still adore this film. Kate and Leo have come so far since this movie and have grown tremendously as actors. Some of the effects might look fake and outdated, but I just love all the history surrounding the Titanic. Even if you take out the love story, it's a tragic story and one that took the world by surprise...and still does. I love the music and costumes! I enjoy it all, it has a good cast, everytime this movie is on tv...I get excited all over again! This movie makes me bawl like a baby, but more so in the final scene as I got older. There have been many amazing movies since this one, but nothing compares. Titanic was and will always be my favorite.

I would say that it is not my favorite, but I like the story plot and I like the way of how they produce a big ship on the sea-- of how they made it look like that the ship was really sinking. The movie is classic and I like what Jack tell to Rose when they were on the middle of the sea... and I remember the lines like, "I never let go, I never let go"-- I like the movie but it is not my favorite.

Hello! Im a Titanic fanatic as well. Im in my college years when it was showned here in the Philippines and it created lots of impact in my memory because of the fact that as if im watching a real thing that happened. I always remember the fear ive felt whenever the scene was so nerve breaking especially when it reached to the point that the ship was almost submerging into the water. Im a person who really am so feared about seeing huge bodies of water. I felt it was monstrous like and would be ready all the time to eat me, so just imagine the fear Titanic caused me, but the great story it had makes me wanted to conquer my fear and continue to watched it again and again. For me, the movie was so good that it was on the top of my lists of favorites. Good night!

Well please don't stone me, but I reaaaaaaally don't like that movie..at all. :D when I was a child I was more into Matrix, Star Wars...Die Hard, Tango & Cash.....and then there was this movie where a ship is ripped in half...I liked that part :D But God how I hate the song :D I study film and media and it gave me an entirely different perspective on this movie. Though I still don't like it, I can now say that it is indeed a classic piece of cinema, because aesthetically and visually it was stunning for it's time - just like good ol' Avatar is nowdays. But it's definately one of the least favorites on my list :D

Well, I've seen so many movies that I could call my favorites so I guess TITANIC will just have to share that distinction. I would also have to consider TITANIC as the best movie I've ever seen for one reason: it's the only movie that has ever inspired me to read. I never read much before I saw TITANIC. I'd read a few novels over the years but reading was something I never really took seriously. Before I saw James Cameron's blockbuster about the doomed ocean liner the only thing I knew about its history was that it hit an iceberg and sunk. The movie may have it's faults but the story James Cameron created was so powerful that it spawned an interest in me to learn more about the Titanic and that grew into an interest to study other areas of history. My favorite being World War II. In fact, now I'll read just about anything I can learn something from. Of course, I still read novels. But, now, reading is much more important to me than it once was. But, anyway, back to the topic of TITANIC. I saw it nine times in the theatre and I have no idea how many times I've seen it after buying it on video. I guess I was mildly obsessed with it for awhile. I actually burnt myself out on it. I also enjoyed the soundtrack as much if not more than the movie. After seeing the film I bought the soundtrack on tape and CD and it was the only music I listened to for about 2 1/2 months straight, everyday letting it repeat over and over. Ok, maybe I was a little more than mildly obsessed. Yeah, it'll definitely have a special place in my movie memories for a long, long time.
