Misunderstanding with a friend.

We were a childhood friend since birth because we have the same place where we lived. We have a very serious arguments regarding the money he borrowed from me. I asked him about these but he has no intention to pay. It strained our relationship. I was getting mad at him because of his refusal to settle his account from me. His insistence put me in the point of my own outburst. Do I still consider him as a friend or an enemy?
