I am now in this situation where i am confused whether to go back abroad and continue working there or stay here in the philippines and go back to my BPO career. I worked in Dubai as a singer for a year the money is good though they treat us there like prisoners. we go out only one time every month and lock us up in the villa. i feel so deprived. Before i go dubai i work for 3 years in call center industry. salary is the same but the tax here in the Philippines is too overwhelming. though i feel safe and comforted coz' i'm with my family. i do know my priorities just sometimes i'm scared. just want to know your opinion.

The answer is entirely up to you. Considering that they have advantages and disadvantages. In the end, it is you who can weigh the best options. Wherever you feel comfortable for you would be good enough. Remember that you cannot work effectively if you are not comfortable, in most cases it affects your job and your output. So after weighing out things, then decide. Whatever decision you make, I wish you the best.

Which is more valuable to you? Your family or the money you would earn in other country. I'll just give you an example were in most of people who went in other country and leave their family here to work to provide a better future for their family sometimes looses one of the important things in their life. Have you watched the movie "anak" of vilma santos? Then watch it and you will learn something from it.

Hi ergfortes,
This really should be a "no brainer."In other words, the choice should be clear because your safety and happiness should be the most important things that you should to be concerned about.
What good is money, if you are not treated with respect? If you are not a prisoner, why would you stay there? For the money? What is making your decision to leave or stay so conflicting?
If something were to happen to you, do you have any family members where you are living, that will help you? Family is very important in time of trouble.
Should you stay in the Philippines, or go back abroad? Search your heart, and follow what it is telling you to do. If you listen carefully, you will make the right choice.
Good Luck

We work in order us to live not live to work. As for my opinion, we must always ensure that we are working in a safe and good environment. It's not always the monetary matters that we should weigh for the decision. It's always our safety first. We ofentimes go abroad looking for greener pasteur not only for ourselves but also for our family. We cannot always be sure what will happen to us the following day of our lives. So it is in our hands to choose which working enviroment will suit to us better. If our family will be at ease at the same time with ourselves, I think that is the better option.

if the pay you were getting in dubai is just the same as your salary here then i suggest you stay here. here you're surrounded by the people you care for. but if you still want to go abroad then you might want to look for another job or a new employer.

For me its hard to work in abroad because you need to adjust yourself to any people you meet there. But if you have a hardworking person and you really happy what your are doing if it is big or small you will succeed.

Well, working in Dubai surely create a good opportunity of good income as they are currently no tax deduction on the salaries. Furthermore the earnings are in US dollars. Well you could say if you really wanted money badly, there are things that you have to sacrifice somehow. When you want something you can't have both at the same time. It's just part of the life cycle. If you think it's more safe and comfortable staying with your family, then just stay. Think twice before you make your decision on which weights more importance to you.

Hi,
Why don't you try another country? There are several opportunities around the world where you can find comfort as well like here in Thailand. It is really hard to adjust with other cultures and everyday is a learning process but that is part of going abroad. It gives you a chance to widen your skills and abilities which will pay off someday. Do whatever makes you happy and at the same time be practical, nowadays we have to consider this attitude as well. God bless!

If I we're you I'd rather stay here in our country where you can completely safe and happy with your love one. Why do you want to work outside the country when you're deprived and treated like prisoner. And you're salary is just same as you work here. If I we're you stay here in our country.

I wish my hubby to goutside India and work.Abroad gives you a lot of exposur eto the world.Today is the time for globalisation and sittin g at one place and working in the name of being patriotic and working in home country is foolishness. If really person wishes to have success in life he must explore avenues wherever he gets success.Outside India the freedom and the facilities are anyday better then your home country.I want my hubby to work in USA.There ar elot many opportunities in India as well but money, growth and freedom is only outside India.Thats what I feel about working abroad.

Kabayan! I think you should just stay here and work again in a BPO company. If the salary is just the same, then why go overseas to just work and missing your family. I know taxes here is killing us. It's just ok if we know that the taxes we are paying is putting into good use but watda... just stay here and have a good quality time with your family.

You know if I were on your shoes I will just stay here in my country to work. Because I don't wanna miss a single moment that I'm away from family, kids and friends.
As you said it's like a prisoner working in Dubai, while here you are free. And nobody can pay for freedom and happiness. Just be contented and satisfied with life that you have. It is the key to your happiness.

At first, you've got to know your purpose of working in Dubai ."earning money " probably is your answer.Next ,why do you need that money ?can it make you happier or what ? if your answer is "no",then quit .life is short .we don't deserve to live for something we don't need .just my idea.

I think the best is work here in the Philippines. If you will earn the same amount here then don't leave the country. There is no place like home. :)

Most of my siblings are working overseas, thus my relatives are expecting me to follow their footsteps. But they were disappointed in soem way since i decided to work here in the philippines and got contented with the little pay i receive every payday. I would always tell them "why don't you ask first if i'm happy here"...here, i get to do what i want to do. i wear whatever i want to wear, i eat what i feel eating for the day. I love the freedom, and the comfort i enjoy here.
So if they'll ask me again, teh answer would still be no...a visit outside would do.

I don't have any words to say due to your confusion whether to stay in your country or work abroad. You have been abroad and you already knew what was the good and bad things about being foreigner in a strange country? You are the most known to yourself and you know what best for you. If by the first time, you know the beneficials to be worked in abroad, you should haven't been confused because you could predict what will happen afterward. So it was entirely up to you, hope you are satisfied with my answer, ok.
