when jokes are being said the second time around,
would you still laugh about it?
for me,it depends on how striking the joke maybe.or if i happen to be used to hearing the same joke over and over again,i don't seem to laugh about it anymore.
well,i noticed some people always tell jokes over and over again, which for me isn't funny at all. i find myself bored for the same old jokes, and i want to hear something new to make me laugh.
there are comedians which i find really funny, but when i happen to see those movies or scenes they have,i just felt not funny anymore.
what about you?
what do you do when you are bored to hear those jokes over again, and how do you manage someone telling jokes when you can't laugh at it anymore?
how do you react with that if someone is in front of you telling jokes you are not having fun at all.

hello vi!
on my part, ell there are some jokes that no matter how many times i already hear them or no matter how many times i saw it, it never fails to make me laugh! haha
sometimes its not the joke itself that makes me laugh but the person who delivers the joke and who they deliver it. there are some people that just seeing their face can already makes me laugh!
my brother and i, when we talk there's these very old jokes that we use to say/share to each other again and again and it still makes us laugh...hehe
and in case there's someone who's telling jokes which seems not to be funny, well sometimes i still laugh...laugh on their being corny!

well, there's comedians who really are funny but we can't say they are always funny.
it really have to be such good acts to make others laugh.

Hi there my friend! If I heard the joke on the second time, I would probably not laugh at it.. But actually, depends on the situation.. There are times when you don't want to disappoint the person telling you jokes by not laughing at what they tell you..So in that case I might probably push a laugh and try to pretend that I have heard of the joke for the first time.. haha..But I tell you it's not easy for me because I am sort of the serious type and I laugh seldomly. Only with persons I am comfortable with. You think that's bad??

hmmmm....you laugh seldomly?
well,i do hope that i have made you laugh from our previous posts in other discussions here,my dear! i do think that it is really hard to wear a smile or laugh at jokes that you found not funny anymore. just to be nice,we try to smile at least.
we can't please everyone,so there's always time or people that we can't make laugh,no matter how we tried to.
i think it's not bad at all.if you are really serious type and people know that, there will be no problem at all. but i do think that you will look more cute when you wear a smile.

Well, to show courtesy I will, after all it still sounds funny. Sometimes I would re-tell it myself to anyone of my friends and I don't care if they heard it or not but the point is, the laugh or still laugh about it. Telling jokes is an art, eventhough it has been said already but if a totally comic person will re-tell it, it will still sound funny but if it's not a funny person telling the joke, better yet practice courtesy. You can compare it to yourself, if you are telling the joke and nobody laughs, how would you feel? Better yet, you must learn how to practice courtesy.

Hi annavi23.
I have heard many jokes more than once, some I thought was funny enough to laugh at again, especially if I haven't heard it for a while and if a different person is telling it in a different style . Sometimes, I just say that I have heard that one and I thought it was pretty funny.
I don't watch a lot of comedy shows, so I don't have many favorite comedians. However, I do know that laughter is a good healer when you are feeling blue. So, funny jokes do have their purpose, in helping us heal.

Hi,
I try to find something to laugh about everyday. Talking to students everyday, I don't have to worry about finding something to laugh about.

yeah, laughter is the best medicine,as they say.
we can turn our moods into lighter side if we maintain habits of smiling or laugh.
it can help us heal those feeling blue.
jokes are there to warm our hearts as well as people who delivered the jokes itself.

There are jokes I've heard before (sorry can't think of one now) when even the thought of it makes me laugh again. Such jokes would still be worth hearing again. Of course like all things there is always an optimal point beyond which the pleasure decreases like when one is full no food pleases any more. Some jokes can really reach this far, being heard over and over again.
Don't just hear the jokes. Look at how they are being told. Look at how others laugh as well. Perhaps that would make things as funny.

yeah,you have a point there,my friend!
even though jokes itself are not funny, there are people who delivered it much more funnier than the joke itself.there are also people who laugh differently than others that's why we find them more funnier than jokes, or the joker itself.
nevertheless,we should always be happy in anywhere we go and keep smiling to make our hearts grow.

It's true that not all people have talents in making other people laugh. Well, I might say, there are really people who are born funny and there are those who work out to be funny, though not all people laugh at their jokes. There are also people who have been funny always but there's an instance that we can't laugh at them anymore. I guess we have enough of them. We like to see something new. That's why I think we sometimes can't laugh anymore.

If it has been a long time, I laugh again. If I can make myself laugh, I will do it so I do not hurt feelings. If the old stale jokes are getting to be too much, I try to take over the conversation and see if I do better at entertaining others.

I can't laugh..nor can i pretend to laugh when the joke is presented in front of me again and again....i get irritated if someone tries to make laugh purposely...if the joke is good and sensible...i can still keep smiling or i walk away ifits of inferior quality

Well, it depends. If the joke is very very funny, I will still laugh about it the second time, even the third or fourth time. There are many times that I can't help laughing to myself when I recollect some funny jokes told by others. The same as you, I also like to hear something new to make me laugh. So I often find myself searching funny jokes online and appreicate them when I feel depressed. I also like to tell jokes to others to make them laugh.

Hiya annavi,
There have been two comedians that have made me laugh in two Films then the next time I saw them I did not find them very funny at all.
Their first two Films were brilliant but then after that I don´t know what happened I could not find anything funny in the rest of their Films.
They were also on stage or on a Television Show telling a Joke or two just ordinary Jokes that I found funny but after their first two Films it´s like the magic they had went away somewhere.
I know most People still find them funny but I don´t. It´s as if they are not doing the Films they want to do or should be doing.

yeah,i agree that comedians who you find funny now cannot be funny anymore in their next movies or acts.well,i can say there will always e people who will appreciate and have a laugh but if you are really used to seeing them, you'll soon be tired and bored cause for you it may be an old time jokes and nothings funny anymore.
that's life.we should need to recycle for some time.

I would still laughing, but not laughing at the jokes, I'm laughing the person who told the jokes. Haha... Actually, I like listening to a joke. But if jokes are being said multiple times, of course it will be the same as a regular speech. I'll get used to it, the joke will lost it's fun and nothing more to laugh at. But sometimes, there are people that really like jokes very much, and they keep laughing when they heard a joke even they had known the joke before. That really depends on the person.

it really depends on a person on how they still can manage to laugh even they ave heard the joke multiple times already.
well,as you said,it can be a regular spoken words when jokes are told multiple times already.it doesn't have impact at all.that's why we should try different acts or jokes to make it more funny.

haha, yeah there are really jokes that even though how many times we heard it or read it,we will still laugh over and over again.i think even in our everyday lives there will always have bloopers happening around us which makes us laugh. not just with jokes.

It depends on how the joke was deliver and what is the joke It just really depends on the situation.

Depends really. When you're in the mood or not. Sometimes, on how it's being delivered. Because there are also jokes that we never get tired of. But when a joke is being delivered poorly, you can never appreciate it and you might even considered it as dull or corny. So I really have lots of respects for comedians because they always have that edge of making something funny or making a joke that has been said before, yet when you hear it the second or many times around, you still find it funny because of how they said or delivered it.

yeah, moods can also be the problem that we can't wear a smile when hearing jokes.
but i think if someone is really funny, though we really feel sad,we would make ourselves laugh.
it really depends on how good the joker or how they deliver it.sometimes there are people who don't have talent at all,but still they can make others laugh.eve without efforts to make others laugh, they still can.it's just a talent i can say.
i disagree that not all comedians can make us laugh.
i recently find someone not funny anymore.though i still like that person, but i don't much enjoy some of his acts anymore. i guess i'm being used to seeing those jokes before, that i can't make a laugh.

Jokes that are really funny, wont be repeated a 2nd time. Even it's being used again, as long as it does not come from the same person, that's fine for me. Because different ple have got different ways of expressing themselves, and that's the focal point about jokes.. hehe ^_^
IF not, it's gonna be so boring if we keep hearing the same thing from the same ple, over and over again.. haha =D

yeah,if we keep on hearing the same jokes all over again from the same person,it won't be funny anymore. there should always be punchlines which makes more funny to make others laugh.
different people have different ways of sharing jokes.sometimes there are also people who really have talent.there are also people who look serious but when they do speak,it would be funny, without making any facial expressions or emotions.
it depends on how we appreciate the joke delivered.

hi annavi...
it is too hard to make me laugh. when my friends enjoy a film and get lots of fun.. then i laugh at their stupidities bcoz there are not a single spontaneous flow to laugh. the actors or actress or the story teller is trying hard to make their audiences laugh. i am not a laugher at all. please don't mind. it's my personal view. take care.

For me, i wouldn`t laugh, the joke that has been said for hundred times are really boring to hear again.
I would either listen or just leave away.

haha, well, with that i agree with you.
if jokes are said hundred times,i don't find it funny anymore.
it has to be really striking to make me laugh if it is said hundreth time, haha
well,it's nice to listen but i think that we should make a move to make another joke or discuss other things just to let our moods a little lighter and turn it's shift.
without the joker to realize how corny he is.
