I have always been thinking of resigning from my current daily work, and becoming a work from home mother. I have finally tendered my resignation letter last week, and I need to serve for another 3 months, then I'll be free!
I am really happy that finally I can resign from my work, though it will be really a great loss in monthly income. I really hope I can get some freelance projects or earn some income from online work. I think I'll also have more time to do mylotting after I've quit my job.
I'd just like to share my joy with you all. ^_^

Hello my friend kaka135 Ji,
It has been ages that we met last. It is a great plreasure and surprise as well for me that you have appeared here. How is your Son now. I fully understand the pintch when I too tresigned my job and opted to remain a house-wife to bring up my children. I assure you, you will never repent that. It is a good and a matured combined dicission. Take care of your child. There are many ways to compensate that amount. You can find some ventures from home and earn much more. Take care.
May God bless You and have a graet time.

Hi there,
Yeah, I haven't been spending lots of time around recently. My work has been quite busy, and I actually have some freelance tasks to do right now. Of course, I need to spend time with my son too. He also likes to play with computer whenever he sees me using it.
My son is already 18 months now, and he's healthy and happy. I feel very contented when I look at him, and I know this is what I really want, nothing else can actually replace the time you spend with the children, right?
Thanks for your wishes! I think I'll have more time in mylot later.

I am so happy for you and feel your joy. It is quite a freeing feeling. I recall when I took my early retirement. It was so nice. I was sick and the stress and strain had really gotten to me. I was such a relief to leave that part of my life behind. I have been online earning money for about four years now. You might want to check out www.guru.com. It has alot to offer. Good luck to you.

I think congratulations are in order, so congratulations to you! Like you said, even if it will be big setback in your monthly income, I hope you earn part of it with your freelance or online endeavors.
Anyway, I think it is very courageous of you. And the day you finally leave Mr. Yap will certainly be the start of the rest of your life.
Goodluck to you!

Hi parrot,
I still think software engineering is a good job, and I still like programming, that's why I will still continue doing it, but as a freelance basis. I want to quit my job mainly because I want to take care of my son.
Are you studying software engineering too?

That is wonderful news!! You may have to do without some things and make some sacrifices but you will have a happy child and you will be a full time mother, that will make you happy. You won't miss the important moments in your child's life and you will have more time to make a comfortable home and nutritious meals for your family.
I'm very happy for you and your family!

Hi there, thanks for your response.
Actually the main reason I quit from my job is not that I'm not happy with my work, it's just that I want to take care of my son full time. I'll always try to do my best for my son. Also, I'm glad that my husband fully supports me, so that I can make this brave decision.
Thanks for your wishes.

Hi there, thanks for your response.
I actually do not depend on online jobs, but I'd look for freelance projects, because I haven't really find an online job that can bring me good income, also I still like to do programming or web site design. I'm not sure if I can earn as much as I do in the current day job, I'll let you know next time. ^_^

Hi,
At last, you can be free from your work after servicing the
3 months notice to your company. Great that you can work from home and
earn income.Being at home, you can have more time to do MyLot which can
generate income too.
You can slso do some paidpost which paid pretty good.
Good luck!

Hi kaka135,
Congratulations, on your freedom. Resigning from a job these day takes a lot of courage. With the economy in such a sorrowful state decline, everyone is seem to be praying not to get a pink slip. I applauded you, for not being afraid to make that move.
Now, what are you going to do with all that free time on your hands? Did you plan ahead for this move or did you just one day decide that you have had enough working away from home?
I wish, I had enough reserves in the bank that would allow me to walk away from my job, but I am not in the position to quit, not just yet anyway.
I wish you much success on your freelancing or any other venture you choose to take on.
Good Luck

Hi Angelgirl, thanks for your wishes.
Actually I have made this plan last year, and I started to spend less and save money since the day. Also, I've started to look for freelance projects, in fact, I'm already working on some simple freelance tasks. I hope I can get more projects in future, which I can have enough money to support myself and my family too. ^_^

Good luck and congratulations. I've been a stay at home mother for about four years now and I'm hoping that in the near future I will actually be able to start to make some serious money from home (it hasn't happened yet because I've been serving as a childcare provider for my nieces for quite some time). That said, I think if you have the time to devote to working from home, it is possible to replace a great deal of your income, it just isn't going to happen over night.

Hi there, thanks for your wishes.
I'm also thinking I might not have much time to do my work at home, as I need to take care of my son and also the housework. Luckily my son can be quite independent sometimes, he can play with his toys by himself without needing me to accompany him all the time, hence I can take this time to work. Also, as what I do currently is I usually work when he's sleeping or when his father is taking care of him. Of course, I'll still always stay in the room to share their joy too. ^_^

I'll consider it brave decision. Although that you admit that it's a great loss but here you are happy .. I admire you for that. These days a lot of my friends and colleagues want to resigned from our work because of depriving almost all of our rights. Regularization, 13th month pay and incentives ...etc these are some of many rights we are claiming...
However, cheers for our success!!! Happy mylotting

I had hard time deciding to let go my full time job when I was still working. But I feel my time as an employee has to end as I need to venture to something that can give me more satisfaction which is running my own business. I have no regrets when I finally call it quits from the employment world as I have not only gained experience which not only gave me the confidence to be my own boss but it has given me the freedom and no dateline to meet. I have not looked back since. Welcome to the club now that you have relinquished your full time job. A little bit of patience will see you in the right direction. Take you time to feel what a wonderful world you will be in without all the stress that usually comes when you are under someone's pay list.

It's good that you have cut yourself from a job that clearly doesn't give you satisfaction anymore. Thought, I'm a bit worried about the monthly income because I doubt an online job could fully cover offline needs, if you know what I mean.
But I guess it's best to just get out of what makes you unhappy. Plus, keep your chin up, you will get through these.
Good luck! and Congratulations for having the guts to quit.
