can you get warts from toads?

I think this is a superstitious myth. "Old Wives Tale" or whatever you want to call it. As a child my favorite pass time was catching toads at the brook when we went up country. I always held toads in my hands most of my childhood days. Even sitting talking to my friends I would usually be holding a toad. I've never had a single wart in my life *knock on wood*. Haha...guess I'm superstitious too.. huh.
