My Star went down again? I didn't think I was giving negative responses..

It does not have to do with you giving negative responses, but with people either not rating you or rating you with a - instead of a plus. At the time you will have to have a few pluses or minuses to change your rating one percentage point. Like I think about 101 positives. We just need to remember to rate our friends. We can only rate one individual eleven times a day, so no one person can completely bring you down, only if you are sitting really close on the average. I will make sure to read and rate you today. You be sure to read and rate all of your friends as well.

My guess is you can get negative ratings due to difference in opinion. Someone might have a different opinion than you, so they give you a -. This is why I tend to stay out of controversial topics.. Especially the religion section, I notice over there a lot of people have low star ratings, because no matter what you say on there, SOMEONE will disagree with you. It sucks though, I see topics I'd love to post in but I know that no matter what I say, someone won't like it. I can't understand why people rate like that, if someone takes their time to give a well written, informative response, no matter WHAT their opinion is (unless they are saying it's okay to kill people or something like that..) I'm not going to give them a -. Writing long responses isn't easy work.. We need to stop abusing the rating tool!

When I first joined mylot, they never had the ratings. I dislike them! I truly try to respond to each discussion and add some substantial information! I wish they would do-away with the ratings! What about you?

That plus and minus and star stuff is a bunch of garbage. Everyone has a right to voice their own opinion (as long as the content is not blatantly offensive)and should not be rewarded or penalized accordingly. This is a social website and we are here to socialize.

Hi there.. Don't get disappointed right away,.., I've observed that happened to me once in awhile.., and I think it is usually because.., I had lesser mylot activities than my previous ones.., so my star decreases.., But when I became active all over again.. It goes up again..=)
