A black man now lives in England but he was born in the West African country called Ghana. He moved to England when he was three years old and now he is grown up he works as an actor. He has married a white British lady and they have two children. He found out that his great great grandfather had been a white Dutch man that had four children with a black lady from Ghana. Due to ill health he left the lady and his four children. Six years later he wanted to go back to Ghana but he wasn't allowed. In his will people found out he had four children living in Ghana. The man was fascinated to hear his family's history.
Do you know your family tree going far back?
If not are you interested in finding out your family history?

I love to hear about other's family history, I also like to learn about my own. I believe there is a gospel singer in my family somewhere but I heard about it as a kid and it's been so long since that I don't remember who it was.

I would like to hear my family history too. It's kinda interesting if you know that somebody is famous in your family or from another country.

Hi. maximax8. I don't know as much about my family tree, but I would love to know. There is so much that I want and need to find out. This story amazes me, it really does. I hope that this man will find out so much more about his family history. His grandfather seems like he was a really decent man.

I have a great deal of my family tree. I didn't do the work though, other people in the family did all the research.

I know most of mine, because my Mom is really interested in this kind of stuff, so she investigated everything already. I think it is sort of interesting, but I would probably be more interested if I had no idea about my family history!

Finding your family history is fascinating. Whenever I accidentally meet a person who is connected to us as our relative, I feel overwhelmed. Its really a good feeling whenever you found a connection to other people, though expecting that person was totally a stranger. My fathers relatives live from different locations, and I really feel happy when I get to know them personally.

It fascinate me so much reading family history most specially if it comes from a royal family or some prominent family. I am blessed that i knew my family history though its not way back as far as 15th century but i wish i can trace that far. I found out that in my father side were the ancestors of Chinese travelers while in my mother side were the ancestors of Spanish explorer. My great great grandfather refused to go back to China and choose to stay in the Philippines after being married to a filifina woman who was my great great grandmother and blessed with five children one of their children became a priest then leave the priesthood and got married and have children to whom my grand father were born that's my father side, while in my mother side one of the Spanish teacher was my great great grandfather who married to his one of his filipino student who was my great great grandmother then.

I don't know my family tree going very far back, but I'm fascinated by it. I'd love to know more. I've discovered a few things, like I was possibly named after my great grandmother on my father's side, and her mother was named Elizabeth. Also, my great grandfather on my mother's side was a coal miner. There's so much more I'd love to find out, but it's not that easy.
By the way, who is the man you're talking about? Does he act in tv or films? Would his name be familiar?

I have my family roots on both sides of my parents family going back to the 1700's and I'd love to go back even further if I could..I found some interesting things. Yet some of it isn't 100% positive for sure, which is why I want to go back further or get my cousin to scan the family bible that has stuff written in German for me to have translated. I think she is afraid of what it might contain..:(

On my mother's side I know a bit about my family history. When I was a teenager I got interested in my family tree and I asked my great-grandfather about his parents and grandparents and I wrote down the names of them. He was also able to tell me a bit about my great-grandmother's family and I also wrote that down. It interesting to talk to my great-grandfather because he had a great memory and he told me many things from the past. On my father's side I don't know that much about my family history. I have met my grandparents, but I have only seen my great-grandparents on pictures. I know their names but nothing about their history.
