Did JESUS ever claimed to be GOD?

As per my opinion He claimed he was the Son of God, but he also claimed that everyone else is as well...Christian theology holds that Jesus was more than just the Messiah..They hold that Jesus is God Himself...New Testament verses which make it perfectly clear that Jesus was subordinate to God, and not equal to Him...Many are willing to accept Jesus Christ as a good man, or a great prophet, but argue that Jesus never claimed to be God....Please reply what do you think?

Genesis 26:24 That night the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham." Genesis 46:3 "I am God, the God of your father," he said. "Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. Exodus 3:6 Then he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob." At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, "I am who I am . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you." Jeremiah 32:27 "I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? John 8:58 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"

The posted comment of redhotpogo having the reference from the Bible, clearly state that Jesus is in fact, GOD. And there should be no more further argument with it.

According to the Bible Jesus was brought into the world by God so that He could pay for our sins as we are incapable of paying for our sins due to our sinful nature caused by Adam and Eva when they ate from the tree of knowledge. For Jesus to be able to pay for our sins means that he must be without sin and He can only be so if He is of God, i.e Jesus is of man but at the same time also of God. In the new testement, book John, chapter 14; "Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way where I am going." Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him." Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; how can you say 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority; but the Father who dwells in me does his work. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me; or ele believe me for the sake of the works themselves..." Jesus is telling his disciples that he is God. We are taught that God has 3 pesona in one, i.e. one God 3 personas, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Son. Jesus was not a prophet, He was the Messiah.

Crazy, I believe in all gods, equally, and I believe in none. I think god is somebody with whom we relate at a very personal level. We cannot exactly definte the relationship we share with god. He could be father, mother, brother, sister, son, and whatever we choose him to be. So if some Christians want to treat him as god, that is just fine with me. I for one think he was a great prophet, and the son of god. :)

No, Jesus did not make any claim that he was Son of God. It is written at Mt 26:63 "But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God." (King James version). Whenever people asked him as to who is he? He merely said, I am He. It means he identified himself with God the Father. He never said I am I, but he said, I am He.

As per my belief's Jesus is the son of God and his father is GOD! I am not entirely sure of what all the talk and or teachings are but I hold firm that Jesus is the son of God. When I pray I pray to God, Jesus, Virgin Mary and all Saints above to watch over me and guide me on a daily basis.
