No experience here. I've been pondering it just for kicks as I'm mainly a SAHM and I could use a few extra dollars in my wallet like most of us. The only question of the century is what to blog about & then start building on content. I also checked out the book Blogging for Dummies I really need to find the time to read that before it's due! *LOL*

First determine what it is you want to blog about, how you're going to monetize it and how often you're going to update. If you're planning on making a blog about earning money on the internet then I'd advice you to drop that dream right here and now. You'll be spending too much time on updating and networking to gain a regular visitors base for it to be worth your time. If you know what niche you're going to write about you should start doing keyword research for your Search Engine Optimization campaign. If you don't know SEO, don't advance one step further. First learn the ropes and then climb another rung. That rung would be buying a domain name and hosting and then installing wordpress. Blogger is awful for those who want to build a decent blog. Install the plugins you wish to use on your blog. You'll need a SEO plugin for sure, other plugins you're going to have to need is a review plugin for if you're going to review (digital) products. Just browse around looking for the plugins you need. If you've done all that, it is time for you to churn out your first SEO-optimized articles. Make sure you always have a few pending articles so that in times you're not able to write you can still provide your visitors with content.
