There are two types of smart leaders. The smart leader intelligent only and the smart leader who can bring change. For creating change (in the positive sense), not necessary leader very smart because it can sometimes hamper intelligence courage. The courage became an important factor in leadership which have character, including of this thing is courage to make decisions and deal with risk. Leadership characteristics contrary to the risk takers populist leadership traits. Populist leaders dare not take risk, working with money, power, and political or populist other imaging.

I think I wanna to be a leader who can make a change on the live pf my people. I think what our leader don't have is a willingness to work hard to solve problem that our nation had. Most of our leader when they ruled they feel they already in comfort zone and just make a little work done, even with that power he can made many better change that improve the life of the citizen.

I am not much of a leader, my theme song is "Leader of Men" by Nickelback which goes a little something like this: "I am not a leader of men 'cause I prefer to follow..." Yeah, I don't really lead.

The topic is very relevant to the times (more than ever perhaps?) So many great leaders past and present come to mind. It seems the opportunity for change is somehow lessened by the "maturing" social, business and political systems in this Q3 2010. But then perhaps I only think so .. Before the e.g. 1970's there seemed to be a lot of vagueness in many fields of interaction such as commerce and technology. At present it seems there are too many constraints that seem to be to well entrenched that the opportunity for change seems diminished. For instance, before globalization was introduced, there seemed to be a lot more trade opportunities for more countries . But then perhaps I only think so .. What do you think?

I will be honest with you. I'm a perfectly acceptable leader, but not a good one really. I can lead, but only if there is no other choice. Most times, there are better people that can step up and really pick up the slack. However, if there is really no one better, than I just have to step into the leadership shoes and steer the ship. After all, its a dirty job but someone has to do it and every now and again its me. So I think I am good enough to hold the team together. I think I am fair enough to split the work evenly and try and get people to work. Of course, if I get stuck with some lazy people that do not function well on a team. However, that is a part of life and we're just going to have to really deal with that. Still, my leadership qualities are decent enough to get the team through whatever project most of the time.

I dont know exactly what kind of leader I am but if I am going to evaluate myself, I am more of a doer. I dont want telling people what to do when in fact I am not doing it myself. It will give me more credibility if I am going to set as an example if I were a leader.

I think I am a participative leader. It's hard to order and demand someone to be creative, perform as a team, solve complex problems, improve quality, and provide outstanding customer service. The style presents a happy medium between over ontrolling (micromanaging) and not being engaged and tends to be seen in organizations that must innovate to prosper.
