This is soo funny, they say that people have a twin of them in the world, well today i saw a double of my male cat.I have a ginger tom cat, with certain markings,so when looking an top of my bird cage out side i saw, what i thought, was my cat.As i called it the cat came and then i realise it was the lady that lives next to me cat,the only colour that is different is under its chin and that is lighter in colour. It was my tom cats son,it even blows kisses at you, like my cat when it is angry or scared.

A twin cat! does that mean a stand in for when your cat's in trouble? My uncle and brother each had a cat and from what I remember they were both the same color and everything, Orange Tabby's.

Ping and Pong are about the same color until you see them together. Also, Ping has a "cuter" face than Pong who is more lion like... I have 5 totally black cats and Nef and Scamp look a LOT alike, but Scamp is bigger and has softer fur while Nef has tufts on the tips of her ears.

lol =D Really?? I thought all cats look the same to me, just that they are different in color.. hehe ^_^ I'm not especially close to cats and thus i wont really notice much difference.. haha =D BUt i wont be surprised to see a twin cat or dog, because anything is possible.. hehe ^_^ It will be a cute sight to see two identical cats walking side by side together, behaving in the same manner as well?? hehe

LOL!I once called my cat a few years ago and another woman down the street was calling him something different. Luckily, he came to me and I should jolly well think so seeing as I'd had him from being a kitten! I reckon he had more than one home..some cats do that..chance their luck!

Your cat got a look-alike! I also thought about that before. I was wondering what if one cat looks exactly of the other cat? What if the mother of the cat saw both of them, how will she recognize which is her son/daughter? And then it came to my mind that, like our finger print, not all cats are the same. It also came to my mind that maybe their colour, their spots, are their identity. Just like in people, we have our own names and unique appearances, the way cats identify themselves is through their colour and the designs of spots in their bodies, so their friends and relatives will know who's who. Thanks for the topic. I found responding to this a way of relaxing and relieving stress. Right now, as I respond to this, my female cat is busy devouring a mouse. Good for her, she's got a nice breakfast!

a theory is very true, that we all have a twin somewhere in the world, sometimes it is much closer than one thinks, and what your accounts, is that even the animals have twins too, sounds pretty fun, but it is true, are the crazy things that happen in this world.

I have a gray tomcat, named Tommy, and he is the Devil in disguise. He is sweet and innocent when you look at him, but he will mark his territory (and he is neutered, so I really can't understand this), and he likes to catch small animals, but here is the funny part, he loves other cats, and he especially loves kittens. No joke, this cat loves kittens. I think that he secretly wants kittens of his own, but since he is a male, and neutered, he can't have kittens. Anyway, I let him have his way. He brought home a kitten, and I let him keep him. They think that they are father and son, and I don't have the heart to tell them otherwise. You tomcat sounds like a sweet and adorable baby.

I had to stop on my walk the other day to pet a cat that looked like my Princess. Her owner says he often has the same problem when he goes for a walk.

I should like to see a cat that blows kisses at me. That would be something new.

I used to have a beautiful black cat and one day the lady who lived across the road came over and asked me to give her cat back! I explained to her that mine was an indoor cat and that he belonged to me. She replied that her cat went missing and he looked identical to mine; she was convinced that I had taken her feline because she had never seen our cat before. I had to produce paperwork before she would go away and accept the fact that I did not steal her cat!

HAHA! Yea! Indeed it's funny and cute of the cat! I've always loved cats and I feel happy when they make any funny gestures or just plain 'meowing' at me when I walk past or go near them.

It isn't all that unusual to find a cat with the same markings, especially if they are related. It is unusual to find a cat that does the same thing as yours. I have never seen a cat blow kisses, but I can imagine it would be very cute and funny.

That is funny. I am sure that will be confusing many times over if they look that much a like. I had a tabby that I took in, he was old and sick when I took him in but a very sweet cat, but a lot of tabbys look alike, the only way I could tell mine from a neighbors was because mine had bad teeth due to his age and what I believe to be poor care by former owners.
