I was sitting downstairs tonight and along came the spider that was in my living room earlier. All of a sudden my husband heard me shout, along with a big bang,he came running down the stairs. He panicked,as he thought that i had fallen, also that i had called him. There was a massive spider that i threw this book at,that was the bang he had heard, thankfully hegot rid of it out of the back door.I hope noone was looking as he went out the back with nothing on,lol.

If it was massive like the ones you see, I would definitely wake up everyone in the room. It is very uncommon to see big spiders here in the Philippines. So it is a normal reaction to be scared, it might be venomous.

Well spiders are a bit common here but none of their are poisonous to humans thankfully. If its a Black Widow well i would definitely wake up everybody lol. Since there could be others lurking somewhere in the house. Hopefully it wouldnt be the case.

It depends on the size of the spider. Well if the spider is as big as my head and looks harmful then I would really wake up somebody to help me get rid of it but if it is small as size of my fist I would probably kill it myself.

The average human eats eight spiders a year.
Check out the Lazyboy video on you tube The song is called "The Facts of Life."

Slitereturn-
Why all the hostility and angst? This is a silly little forum where people have the opportunity to speak freely and other people can ignore freely, there is no fact checking required, for this is not the place to look for facts it is the place to look for connection with your fellow humans. By a mirror, figure out what is really bothering you. I wish you the best. Listen to the song it is fun- they have another one called "Underwear is to be worn on the outside" it is even more fun.

Hi ya jugsjugs
Well even if I had woken anyone with my antics of trying to get rid of a large spider it would not have been any help cos my kids are just as scared of spiders as I am if anyything more so haha. If a spider is in my bedroom it doesn't stand much chance of living, if it is downstairs then I usually try to get it out

Hiya jugs,
Depends on the size of the Spider if it is too quick I try to corner it another way. I usually use a Dustpan and broom and get the Spider into the Dust Pan and cover it with the Broom and very quickly goes out of the nearest Window or open Door. I don´t like to kill Spider big or small if I can help it.
If it´s a really big one (Spider) I call my Husband and I ask him to get it for me as he is very quick but I also ask him not to kill it so I have the Broom and Dust Pan ready for him to catch the big Spider with and out it goes with my blessings as I cannot handle the really big ones.
If it is a big Spider and I am on my own I try to persuade it to go out through the Window or open Door and they usually do. I leave the Room where it´s in empty and the Door shut and when I go back in it´s gone.
Not in love with Spiders but I do my very best to put them back where they belong outside.

if I see or I find a spider or some other type of insect, I will kill you before I go to sleep, but I do not stay quiet, and I think that I may appear at night, or me about mosquitoes you fly next to the ear and not let you sleep by the sound it produces unbearable. Those that are of terror are my sisters, if they see a spider they are put to the cries and come running, I grab a lot of fear and tienens to go to disaster relief and kill the spider.

No, I would not wake someone up because of a spider. Spiders eat other bugs they are not so bad to have around. Spiders don't really bother me, they rarely even come near me so I don't really have a problem with them. If one came near me I would let it crawl on a piece of paper and open the door and put it outside. The spiders we have here are harmless.

I wouldn't wake someone up for a little spider. I wouldn't scream or anything. I would just take a tissue and kill it with it. I would do it myself. But I would scream or anything like that. If it was a big spider, then maybe I would. I think for me, it really just depends on the size of the spider.

No, not for a spider, but surely for a cockroach. I still remember the days when I was a kid, me and my elder sister would be petrified of the cockroach, especially the flying one. We would together scream and jump and run from one corner of the house to the other, away from the roach. We would plead with our father who would catch the cockroach with his hands with us following behind him all the while. Your throwing a book reminds me of us using a piece of cloth or towel to stop the cockroach from getting away.

I would definitely wake up someone for a spider. As a matter of fact i have. Spiders are not my favorites. My late husband took care of many a spider catastrophe for me throughout my life.

haha. you made me laugh. I am not afraid of spiders except for the black widow or the recluse brown spider. They are very poisonous! I think all spiders are poisonous but most of them are small and they can't bite through your skin. No wonder Little Miss Muffet is scared, she's just being cautious. But they wont bite if you don't harm them!
And I wouldn't wake anybody just because of a spider. I think it is rude to wake up somebody. I don't want anybody to wake me up too even it is not a spider issue.
