I just wonder why people aspire to be financially independent? What does that mean anyway? Having lots and lots of money? When you look at the money as mere papers without much monetary value I think you'll be happy to live the way you are without even wanting to possess money. Life can be rich without having lots of money if you can appreciate what you have with the people you love most.

It means nobody or no event can take away your income. And even if somebody or some event threatens to do so, you have enough assets to survive with your lifestyle practically intact.
In some special circumstances, insurance is a good way of making you feel secure.

Hi bloggeroo, I am quite fortunate to be born without having to work hard to make a living as my grandparents have done all the hard works during their time so we grandchildren are reaping the fruits of their labor. The family revenue is enough to see me till the end.

I want to be a millionaire. This is a funny statement from a girl who would tell any and all that would listen that she loves the simple life. That hasn't changed. I still love the simple life, however, I like what money can do. Not all the things we can buy to clutter up our lives but I'd like to have money for those basic necessities and unexpected expenses that are so necessary to life. I hate having to worry about money or having to compromise on things which can be classed as basic necessities. I want freedom from the stress of making $1 stretch to $20.

I dun need to be a millionaire to gain financial independance.. haha =D Just having slightly more than enough for me to clear my bills, my spendings as well as leaving some for savings.. lol =D
The more money we have, the more likely we are gonna spend on useless things. As such, it's not wise to have too much money if we cant control our way of spending.. hehe

Right now I want just enough to pay my regular biils and provide a bit of enjoyment for my daughter. Once I can get that stabilized, I'd like to have some to put away for her future and ultimately enough to be able to have a bit of fun myself and help other people. I don't want to have to worry about money all the time, or constantly have to choose whether to put gas in my car to get to work or pay a bill that's due.

For me, I am a relatively simple person and for that reason, I really don't want to be rich, I just want to be comfortable. That means that I wouldn' owe anything to anyone, instead I would be debt free. It would be nice to have some expendable income, but the amount of that which I had wouldn't have to be great either, perhaps just an extra 10-20 thousand would be perfect for us. Other than that, I don't think that I would need a lot more.

I want to be billionaire!! I want to be the richest woman on the planet, even richer that Oprah! I believe that even if money can't buy you love and happiness, they still can make your life very comfortable and enjoyable. You can see a lot of wonderful places all over the world if you have money, so I really want to be super rich!

Financial Independence - enough money to take care of all my financial needs as well as my dreams would be wonderful. I don't need to be a millionaire or even a billionaire, I just want enough not to have to worry about where I'm going to get it when I have an unexpected need for it.
Ok, so perhaps being a millionaire would be nice, but I would rather have good loving loyal friends and family to stand by me.

I wanted to have my job and business. These two things could somehow lead me to my financial independence. You are right money can't buy everything but it can rent anything.

Sure. I'd like to make an obscene amount of money to achieve financial independence. But first, I have to figure out how to do it. Right now, Lotto is not working for me.
Anyway, I'm still working on solving the mystery of moneymaking. Hopefully, I'll have a workable solution I can try this year. That's on top of the other solutions I've tried during the past few years of my life.
