What do you think? For grade schoolers, Friday is the day they wait for the whole week because that means they have free time on Saturday and Sunday.
There was a principal in a school my mother went to who made Fridays 'no homework day' so that the children will feel the real feelings of childhood by being able to play. She said 'why would we take their weekend when we already have five days a week.. one day when they grow up they'll have pleasant childhood memories. If they'll lose the only two days they have a week, they'll grow up fast, and being a kid again isn't possible'.
So again, what do you think? Should Fridays be free from homeworks?

I think it's a great idea. There should be some carefree aspects of childhood and a weekend free from homework is a nice way to accomplish it. I agree with that principal. Five days of study in school, and then four nights of homework after is enough. A kid's mind won't rot if they let them off the hook for Friday.

I like your response Angelwriter! Kid's spends more time at school than at home so it's already enough studies..and they won't definitely forget their studies after weekend coz it's just two days.
And a good saying to support this is work hard and play hard. Studying isn't our purpose in life, it's one of our means to be able to serve our purpose. It's being happy in fulfilling our life, and without playing there wouldn't be 'happiness' without having some fun and free time.

I think that's a good idea. But we have to make sure the students will still remember what they studied from Monday to Friday.

That is true, we still have to be responsible in our studies throughout the weekdays even though we have a short weekend vacation ^^
