I have joined mylot one year ago and I was not that active , actually I have never started a new discussion until the last month.
In fact I started enjoying posting some comments and asking some questions, and now I feel like I can not stay away from my computer, and I want to write all the time, not for money, but I really enjoy that.
I guess I need some help from you guys on how to manage my time with this issue, when do you post ususally?
do you think this will be just for a short time and I will return to normal again?
any tips please.
thank you all

I think we really learn a lot about ourselves and world by blogging.
When we write, our mind really is doing work. And that seems a very healthy exercise for the mind. When people disagree with what we post, we are able to reply with our insights and probably convince another; on another case, we may find fallacy in our way of thinking and change the way we think altogether.
Either way it seems MyLot educates us...(further?)
What do you think?

myLot is really just one of many online publications ergo we are all writers for myLot. And as a writer, writing stuff that people would enjoy reading is the reason we are here. We need to contribute our individual wisdom in whatever we post.

You are a very good writer. Based on your title, I thought that you are one of the very few people who are angry at MyLot. While the screen was loading, I was already thinking of ways to contradict. To my surprise, your message is positive.
Frankly, it is up to you if you want to become "normal" again. I prefer not to be normal because I fell in love giving my two cents on the issue and I love the money I'm getting.

Most days, I get on mylot first thing in the morning, and then again at night. These are the times I spend the most on Mylot. I usually allow so much time for mylot, so much time to check emails, etc. I guess it all boils down to time management. I know I have to do certain things through out the day, and I fill in "leisure time" with mylot and other things. When I first got on mylot I spent a lot of time on it because it was new and interesting and I would love reading all the discussions and stuff. I did end up spending more time than I expected and ended up at the end of the day, not getting other stuff done. I would suggesting setting a certain amount of time each day to get on mylot. Happy Mylotting!

I like type too. But it is true that stay in front of computer is not good for your health, Doctor advises that you should stand up and have some exercises after facing computer a hour...
I think u can ask some friends out to go shopping or have a face-to-face talk, or do some sports outside...
make your life colorful~

Actually,we don't have to care a lot.We just enjoy ourselves here by reading other's meaningful disscussions and comments. As for whether starting a disscussion or not,you choose. If you have spare time, just log in,start one,and read the discussions you're interested in,and then find inspiration from them.If don't,just log in when you have time.It doesn't matter. The key lies in you care too much.

I think I should say that I am stealing my time to be on myLot ! Ha ha ! I am getting pretty much addicted to myLot. Except when traveling, I would not miss a day to come on to myLot every day, every evening after I get back home from work. I very much enjoy to be active in the community, posting messages and responding to messages as often as I can.

Of course, it's time consuming to be here. But for those pursuing a career in online publishing, the constant activity is a motivation in itself to keep moving forward.
As an aspiring blogger who's following the road from blogs to riches, myLot can be a great way to subsidize the cost of putting up blogs. I can do a lot of writing to develop certain topics and get paid for doing it.

I have joined mylot recently too. It's been only for four days I think and I really enjoy writing on this site. You can write about anything you are interested and on things that you are not able to talk about anywhere else. This place would have been worse if there weren't some rules to follow.
There are similar sites in my native language and they are very popular; read maybe more than newspapers. It's not easy to be writers in those websites. They take writers once in a year or two years. After that they are selected by their writings. If you can't write good you are not allowed to write at that site and do not think they write for money, they don't get anything except the pleasure of writing.
