the metrosexual man

The metrosexual man will pay attention to what’s currently popular in men’s fashions and will usually incorporate the looks into his own personal sense of style. This isn’t to say that he necessarily has to go and spend hundreds on designer labels. It simply means that he keeps abreast of current trends and shops for those looks at outlets to match his budget. the metrosexual man will pay attention to his specific needs as far as having a flattering hair cut, as well as cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing his skin in order to look healthier and help fight signs of aging. He will have his nails cared for with manicures (AND pedicures) and will take care of the little problems that arise from time to time, such as athlete’s foot fungus or acne breakouts. The metrosexual man tends to spend far more time on his appearance than the average man. This in and of itself may seem shallow and vain, but also shows a strong sense of self-worth and respect for those people with whom he chooses to spend time since he wants to look his best at all times. Did you already encountered a metrosexual man, what are your insights for some

One word springs to mind: Hypocrites!! I know many Meterosexuals who look and act more feminine than I do. I'm a reasonably masculine guy whom happens to be a homosexual. Like many, I have been bullied about my sexuality by fellow man. Maybe I've become bitter? I know lots of men in my region (Manchester, UK), who still, to this day, act like homophobic cavemen! But they are slyly shadowing the superor style that is gay; men's clothes are starting to look VERY similar to women's flouncy tops! Men's t-shirts' necklines are plunging lower and lower. (I thought V-necks were GAY!?) Guyliner, oversized shades, fake tan, tight jeans. The list is endless. In the 90's, most straight men wouldn't dream of squeezing into tight jeans, applying a bit of make-up, or trying to outdress their girl friend. But, hey, this is 2010 baby

Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackman are often cited examples for metrosexuality. In the local scene, Janno Gibs, Ryan Agoncillo is just three of the many who already admitted. Men - of all of all sexualities - are taking a greater interest in the appearance. If Madonna is vain, and so are we. I am also guilty of being admired and looked at because for me that's the only way I can be certain I actually exist. Who doesn't want admiration in the first place? Admiration boosts up one's self esteem, and if being metrosexuals is the solution; then I’ll go for it. Yes, it requires money to stay up to date with the latest hairstyles, the newest threads, and the right threads, and the right shaped shoes but you can go for inexpensive alternatives. Metrosexuals are trendy, creative and can also be resourceful. Even a thing from scratch, can look expensive, depends on how you carry them because we do what works and not what is familiar. Have a nice day my friend :)

a metrosexual is someone who looks after and take care of himself.men,by society, are expected to be rugged, daredevil, and relaxed,as opposed to women who are expected to be dressed and dolled up.I appreciate metrosexuals, whether they are straight or gay.I wouldn't mind having a metrosexual partner,as long as he isn't confined to his mirror 24/7 or won't go out because he has a pimple.

In late 1950's there were few metrosexuals that we can observe..However, these days we can find vain men and somehow people think that these people has lots more of tendencies in becoming a gay. Don't you think so?

Yes, I have met some metrosexual already, some were were my friends and some were new acquaintance only. These metrosexuals were sometime misunderstood to be gays here in my country maybe because of a masculine culture (macho image) that still exist. Men who wear make-up, put on lotions and even sun block protection creams were being ridiculed for their feminine acts. However, it is a generally accepted exemption is being given to the starts television or movie stars who are expected to put on make ups and nail polish!
