Language does help us communicate with each other conveniently. But learning a second language can be a boring,monotonous,time-waster.And it always cost a lot of time but we gain little progress.I do have this problem, can someone give me some advice now?Do you have some high-efficiency method?

Learn a second language for me is very difficult. If you know a lot of language that is perfectly. If each day is used for second language then a second language can learn quickly.
The only effective method which I know is to learn every day and lots to read.

learning a new language takes a lot of time and effort.
i think one way to learn a new language without worrying about what you're 'wasting' is to actually like the language and be interested in learning it in the first place. otherwise, it probably won't work.
my second language is english, but i started learning it even when i wasn't in school yet so it relatively easy. i could hear it from the tv, the radio, and i simply had to look towards any direction if i wanted to see an english word.
the challenge for me was learning japanese. i'm still studying it now. i know people who started learning the language with me but gave up after some time. we really need to persevere because acquiring a language takes time. i think living in japan for about a year really helped me improve. i went there as an exchange student, and it was free. i was really lucky with that. so i guess i suggest you go visit a country that speaks whatever language you're learning.(^0^)/ don't give up~:)

HI,
I always wish I can speak more languages, which
is good for me in communicate with other people from
different country.
So far, I can speak English,Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin and my
dialect Hokkien.
I wish I can speak Cantonese,Japanese.
I did learn Japanese language dduring my high school, but now I
have forgot every single words.
Actually, when I was young, I did not know how to speak
Mandarin, until I was in Singapore for my university, then I slowly
learn on the words from friends and watching some Singapore
dramas will definitely help me alot in my Mandarin.
Now, I can communicate in Basic Mandarin with others,at least, another
new language for me.And I feel happy with my own result.
However, I feel regret for not learning Mandarin in my young time.
My dad always encourage me to learn Mandarin when I was young, but I always
rejected his offer and said " it is not useful",but now I realized
it is pretty useful and Mandarin has been one of the most common language in
the world beside English.
