How to accumulate friends on MyLot?

I have been a member for maybe a little over a week, and I'm really just now starting to participate. I am just wondering, what usually makes you add people as friends on Mylot? Do you add them randomly, add people who answer your questions? Do you add friends just to increase your earnings, or do you genuinely add people that you wish to interact with?

I usually add people to my friend list when I meet then through discussions. Actually, I will send you a friend request after I finish posting this reply!
Usually, it's new people who have just joined and are trying to get started. But sometimes it's people who seem to have the same opinions as I do. Or people with interesting thought processes. Or even those who give obvious thoughtful answers.. and then there's the few I add simply because of their honesty!
