Have you ever had a dream that really affected you?

Let's share our experiences about dreams, how we feel about them, and how close they seemed with reality. I've had my own share of dreams about people I haven't met yet, but feel so much connection to them. It makes me wonder...Is it really just a dream or am I seeing a sweep of my future?

Dreams are said to be the visual manifestation of the memories lying accumulated in the sub-conscious zone of mind. In he state of dreaming,I feel the objects and scenes that flashes over my mind, as real as real life objects and scenes. At times, the persons, the objects and scenes I dream are quite strange and far from my past life associations and experiences.

I was reading your response and I suddenly remembered the dream I had last July 9 (yeah, I record every vivid dream I've had :D), and everything that happened involved people I've never met before and one friend, who I'm very close to. I was so blown away by the quality and brightness of my dream! It was like everything was happening at that exact moment, even though it would NEVER happen in real life. My dream was total confusion which involved a great, great flood, a tree which had a door into its trunk for us to seek refuge in, and a speed boat (which we later used for knocking out a murderer).
It was so strange, and I'm relieved to know that other people experience weird dreams often too! So thanks!

Hi, Faithloveire! Welcome to MyLot!
Some dreams are supposed to be psychological manifestations of some unconscious or repressed desires, memories or emotions. Some dreams are precognitive, meaning they predict the future, but not all dreams are like that.
I've had numerous vivid dreams. Sometimes, I'd wake up crying. When I dream about food, I wake up with the taste of the food in my mouth.

I've had the same experience myself, whenever I dream about food! It was nice when I dreamt about something sweet, but I'd get into a foul mood in the morning when I wake up from a dream about pickles. *shudder* :D
Thanks for giving your insight about dreams!
