I'm currently running Windows 7 and I am loving it. I've tried Mac in the past and at first I really enjoyed it, but I came to some realizations over time and it contributed to my decision to go back to Windows.
For starters, you get a lot less bang for your buck if you purchase a Macintosh. For example, my Toshiba laptop came with 4GBs of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, and a 17'' screen - all for only 650.00$. Compare that too the cheapest available Macintosh laptop (the MacBook) which comes with 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and a 13'' screen and costs 999.00$. That's the absolute cheapest Apple computer you can get new. Now, you could possibly find a cheaper used one, but the same could be said for PCs.
Secondly, there isn't nearly as much software for Mac as there is for Windows and most of the mac versions of bicompatible software is inferior to its Windows counter part (uTorrent comes to mind).
Finally, gaming. There are very few games that are available to Mac users.
Overall, I feel like Mac is simply playing to trendy desires of some younger people and aren't really designed for people who actually know enough about their computer to properly operate their PC. Also, it's funny to hear some people say they own a Mac as a protest against Microsoft and their for-profit, corporate tendencies when Apple is a multi-billion dollar corporation.

I am still using Windows XP Professional. My husband is using Windows 7. I don't find a big difference between these two operating system. I don't want to upgrade my operating system if it is not necessary. It is troublesome to install so many software again. I am still pleased to use Windows XP Professional.
I love China
