Hi! I'm a stay-home wife and mother and we live in a small two-bedroom house. This has been our home for more than 20 years now and our things had piled up over the years. Our kids are both grown up now, but they still have this habit of keeping some of their things when they were still young. It seems like it's of sentimental value to them especially if it was given to them by close friends and relatives. Our cabinets and drawers are all stacked up of a mixture of old and new things. Books and magazines, old and new are also piling up and so does our kitchen utensils and cookwares. Even if our house is small, most of the time I get so tired of cleaning it due to so many things that needs to be cleaned up. What should I do to declutter my home and make it more spacious and easy to manage?? Please help...thank you and have a nice day! :)

maybe you can take the stuff you no longer need, and make money out of them~!(^_^)
books are good to read, but useless if you just keep them stacked somewhere. so why don't you sell or donate them? you know, share the joy of reading~!:)
the same goes for your other stuff~

First thing you should do is to take all the things that you don't want to keep and donate it to the Goodwill, Salvation Army, do a yard sale, or sell it on Ebay.
Then organize the things you want to keep. Keep the books with all the books, magazines with magazines, etc. Would be nice if you have an extra room for storage or a garage. That way you can keep everything organize in that room. But the main thing you have to do is donate, sell, or throw away the junk you have that you don't want.

Start getting rid of things that you really have no use for and that you really don't want. Get rid of things that hold no value to you whatsoever.
If you haven't used it in several years, then get rid it. Get a box and take it to Goodwill or sell it at a yard sale.
I have taken a lot of things that I don't want to Goodwill, and I have taken them to yard sales.
