Birthday reminder on FACEBOOK

Yes, it is there. But not everybody is paying attention or effort to greet you.I guess,that "thank you for remembering" thing is a way of saying "thank you you have noticed and made an effort to greet me".:) Recently, I can not see birthday reminders in my page. And I have been missing alot of my friends' birthdays...:(

this is the reason why facebook is called a social site, for friends and all activities of friendship and that's includes remembering your friend's big day. If you don't want to greet a friend who;s celebrating his Bday,then ignore the reminder,it that's simple it won't cost anyone a penny!

lol! my friends just always say thank you for the birthday wishes.

Of course, I do notice that.. I just had my birthday yesterday and may people greeted me, my friends because I know it had been posted in their wall. Well, It is a helpful tool for us to greet old friends and new friends. I'm sure it would make a difference on their big day and it would made them smile.

A typical malady on too much dependence on gadgets. Of course, when you log into any of these social networking sites, you can see the notification regarding anniversaries falling within a day or two. If you do really remember without reminders, it is great and worth thanking. And if you do log in to a site just to see if anybody is celebrating something and do convey the wishes, then this is great too. But if you accidentally find about somebody's birthday or some anniversary, then you do not deserve appreciation at all.

people i greet in facebook dont really say "thanks for remembering" or something like that. they just say thank you. but i dont really know who are sincere when they greet through facebook that's why i don't have my bday info there. :)

I do, and when someone's birthday comes up I try to send them a "Happy Birthday" message on the day of their birthday.

The reply may be either of curtsy. Friend reciprocates for our wishes not exactly for remembering their birthdays. I find it okay if they thank for remembering also. Sometime when I don't get the thank you reply i do sulk for not acknowledging it.

That's kind of weird indeed. Nobody of my facebookfriends says that! They just say thanks. :)

Hi, I do notice that there is a Birthday NOte on my facebook webpage and I don't really bother than much. Sometimes, I will write at my friend's wall to wish them Happy birthday when I am free to do it. Or else, I just can't be bother about it. However, it is a good remarks , as sometimes, we might forget our friend birthday and with these remarks available in facebook,it reminds us not to forget wish our friends HAppy Birthday on their BIG DAY.

I haven't been told that after greeting somebody. Maybe they're just enthusiastic cuz, after all, it's their birthday.

I think everyone is aware about the birthday reminders in facebook.., Maybe what they meant by "thanks for remembering" is the fact that you dropped by their page to greet them..=)

i should say that its all because of facebook i remember my frns b'day... we should thank face book not the person...

facebook birthday reminder, this funny you should thank facebook for reminding your friends that its your birthday. i know some of our friends doesn't really remember our birthday and only remembers it when reminded by their facebook. so when someone PM you on facebook you know that they knew its your birthday because of face bokk..LOL

Most of mine don't thank me for remembering, they thank everyone for the Birthday wishes. I am glad most of my friends have their Birthdays on their profiles, because its nice to have a reminder.
