How much cardio should i do a week? i am 189. 5'11. I have a very good weights program and am very happy with my physic. I am still wondering though, the only thing i have is a small amount of fat on my lower back sides. VERY ANNoyinG. I do cardio with my weights routine 5 times a week usually 20-25 minutes a day of pretty intense stuff. not walking....im either on the stairs or running at 6.5 mph. How can i blow this off me? my diet is relitivly clean and water is all i drink. I lost 80lbs to be where im at but i still want that little gone. Please help.. Thank you

5 times a week is way too much. The best way to burn fat is to combine weightlifting with cardio. So 3 times cardio and 2 times intensive weightlifting would be the best option to burn the fat. If you do too much cardio you are going to lose the muscles and strenght. I see your cardio is quite intensive but you can also try HIIT (high intensity interval training) which is more intense.

i'm not sure if you could do too much cardio in a week.. for me doing at least 20 minutes of CONTINUOUS cardio DAILY worked when i was trying to lose a little weight. i've also read recently about "burst workouts" wherein you alternate 1-2 minutes of "burst" or vigorous running between 5-10 minutes of normal walking. the ideal is to do at least 4 bursts daily. i don't know, maybe you should try this. good luck!
