Hello, I posted this discussion to know if you're having the same problem. I was trying to link my debit card to Paypal but the system says, "We were unable to link this credit card. Please check if the information you entered is correct. If the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card." I know I entered all the information correctly and my card has funds in it. It's a debit card and their system says that they accept debit or credit card, right? I tried contacting Paypal about this but up to now, I still haven't heard from them. It's been weeks already. Please help me. Thanks.

Hmm. I'm only familiar with UnionBank's EON Visa debit card.
Anyway, assuming that MasterCard can be used with PayPal, one possible source of the problem is the expiration date of the card especially if the year is abbreviated to two digits. If this is so, you may have interchanged the month and year. For example, 12/11 can mean both December 2011 or November 2012.

But in my case, it was my UnionBank account number (12 digits) that I used and not the card number (16 digits).
